Why are you spending so much time thinking about someone who doesn’t even know who you are?” That shuts down a lot of the moral grandstanding and pearl clutching.

You don’t have to know a politician to determine whether or not their policies are impacting your life.

They were rude to bring it up knowing your political leanings, but since they opened that door I would have used the Opportunity to ash how the can support Democratic policies of X,Y & Z.

I have a NIL like that. The last two times we've dined together with my sister and her husband, both Democrats, which, she does so to keep the peace. She knows why my dad raised us as Republicans, and we took shite for it from the kids whose parents were all Democrats, some in the KKK. Seriously.

Her husband was raised by a father that was all about what the government could give him and take away from wealthy to give it to him. He was a real piece of work, that one.

Anyway, to address his similarity to your 'friends' my NIL, in the middle of a conversation about (it could be anything) he'll drop in a 'Trump did this. Trump did that. Trump is at fault. Trump should be in jail." Take your pick. It takes all of my resolve to not say something in return, but my wife, who never says a bad word about anybody, would be disappointed in me if I engaged him in an argumentative way. She just tells me, "He's family. Just treat him like you would a special needs child. You use lots of patience." So I do, and feel sorry for my sis that she married an a-hole.

Ultimately impolite for them to go down the road

But if unable to stomach some poor tax policy and a few trump jabs without stewing long term- also unimpressive

Make a joke and transition out of the topic just like I’m sure you do when friends are pro trump in front of your wife.

They all belong in retirement homes - speaking of which what flavor jello do we have for dessert?!?

I’ve got Democrats friends. They all know and understand the rules….around me STFU. If you can’t resist…either I leave or they leave. Change the damned subject.

Should have just said we averaged 6.5% inflation per year under Biden and left it at that.

Thanks for the input guys.

Good or bad i guess it touched a nerve with a lot of us.

She said she will have a conversation with her friend and was blindsided by what happened and thanked me for keeping my cool .

My wife told me later someone had put a Abbott For Governor sign in their yard. Current Republican Governor Of Texas.

Maybe they assumed without asking it was me which i did not and would never do.

Of anyone i know how serious we all take it.

Remember it is easy on a message board but in real life their are things i did not go into much.

I don't tell my wife enough how much i appreciate her and love her. She has been through things with me much tougher than this.

My mom and dad's health issues at the end of their lives. Her mom's death. To call her bad names over this issue a little too much.

I understand there is a lot of things positive i left out you don't know.

I have 10 doctor's i see regularly and she is there to every one. 8 years of in and out of hospital.

You ask why i am still with her. She is the person i want to see when i take my last breath.

Do we disagree on things damn right.

Take care of yourselves and your Kidneys.

Maybe he posts what you post here daily.

You freaks are all the same. Why do you post here so much? This is just an "echo chamber". You prove that is a lie with every post.

Sounds like your marriage is a charade. Also sounds like your wife threw you under the bus the other night. Also sounds like your wife values her friends more than she values you. Keep on cuckin’!
