Find it odd some of you who bash people for liking Trump are chiming in.

Hmm not sure if the Poliboard is the best place for relationship advice.

True, but its not relationship advice. If in ANY walk of life you surround yourself with liberals, they will do the same.

He doesn't need relationship advice. Without knowing it, his is over.

"I would never do that to you" and say no more no matter how hard she may try.

The good ol days were Pre-TDS when you could meet people for dinner without having to listen to somebody at the table pop off about Trump with a take they read off facebook.

I was transferred to California with my company.

Was single and politics has been something we could agree to disagree on and have a good life together.

She didn't start it they did and when she realized where it was going she did get us out of there as quick as she could.

I am sure today she will understand how i feel because i have republican friends and i have made it clear to them she is a democrat and please respect her when we are together .

She is going to have to do the same for me in this situation.

I know she understands and will do the same for me in this situation or i will not agree to be around them.

Neither one of us wants to let politics create a divide. It is what America is all about isn't it. Freedom

"Freedom is advanced citizenship". Michael Douglas "The American President"

In my case it truly is being Republican and Democrat married.

Heard that in a movie and it is true.

In that setting, just listen to them blather, and go about your day.

You’re friends regardless of their politics, which you knew about beforehand. Why get upset when they go on a rant on occasion in their own home with friends?

Just laugh at them to yourself and drink their booze. If they have some higher dollar stuff, go for that, they had it coming.

I'm 34 and can't even imagine being with a liberal girl in my age range.

I have a ton of liberal friends. We just don’t talk politics. We care about our friendships more than who we vote for.

I tend to use the line: “Why are you spending so much time thinking about someone who doesn’t even know who you are?” That shuts down a lot of the moral grandstanding and pearl clutching.

Very thankful my wife has no idea what day it is, much less what's up in politics.

Out of respect i tried to keep quiet and just said i am republican

I've had dinner with liberal Dems and discussed politics. Just keep it logical and employ Socratic method. Nothing ever got out of hand. I don't know if it changed their voting but my communist nephew switched to republican when he started making big money and saw his income tax rates go up.

You lost your chance at redemption by not unleashing a big wet fart and walking out with the best bottle of wine you could find in their cabinet. "Thanks for dinner, bitches."
