Lane Kiffin Provides Update On LSU WR Jackson Harris

USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect
LSU head coach Lane Kiffin provided a brief update on wide receiver Jackson Harris, who suffered an apparent ankle injury during Saturday's 31-0 win over Mississippi State.
Harris was injured in the third quarter after catching a 24-yard pass from quarterback Sam Leavitt that brought LSU to the Bulldogs' 3-yard line.
The junior transfer from Hawaii limped into the medical tent following the play and did not return to the game.
Speaking Sunday, Kiffin didn't provide a specific medical update but sounded optimistic about Harris, saying he 'thinks he will be fine.'
"I don't have any updates medically for you," Kiffin said. "Jackson is playing great, really coming along, really. I feel like our passing game in general has really kind of hit a good stride here lately, and a lot of that was having to do with him.
"He's really started to take shorter plays and turn them into big plays and looks really fast and confident. So I think he'll be fine."
Kiffin had no updates on defensive end Princewill Umanmielen, but he'll likely be asked about him during his Monday press conference.
