It's amazing how many conservatives complain about our politicians not working for us, how much money we waste, hate speech, and open borders but then turn around and emphatically defend the country and people promoting all of it. It's a great example of brainwashing.
Christians defending the country who has routinely attacked Christians, think their Savior is in hell, and protects pedophiles is likewise absurd.
Too many conservatives abandon their ideals, facts, and common sense just because they foolishly believe khazarians are the ancient Israelites. The brainwashing is only rivaled by the progressive left's useful idiots.

If it was any other country in the world, for whatever reason, that received this money would you be screaming this anti Israel hate? But if you seriously want to know "why", I suggest you read Leon Uris' book, Exodus. As an aside, post the 1948 - UN creation of the country of Israel, Israel was the only Middle East country that, post war, opposed the Nazis. All the rest of the entire Middle East countries were active supporters of the Nazis .

How “significant” is the U.S. presence in Israel?
The U.S. presence in Israel is not on the scale of large overseas bases (e.g. in Germany, South Korea, or some Gulf states).
Many installations are highly specialized (radar, missile defense, prepositioned materiel) rather than large-scale troop deployments.
Some public sources claim the U.S. does not have a full-fledged base in Israel in the same sense as in other countries. For example, the Indian Express’s overview says the U.S. “does not have a military base in Israel but engages in periodic joint exercises” (though that may be overly simplistic or out of date)
