Probably because people who said Massie isn’t who he claimed to be got called all kinds of names and now those same people who blindly followed Massie are tucking their tails and hiding.

Explain why Trump hates this guy.

It started during Covid. Trump and Pelosi put together a wild spending plan called the CARES Act. Congressional leaders wanted a voice vote in largely empty chambers, and Massie using a House rule said "frick no, if we're spending this kind of money and funding Dem pet projects like this, we need a vote that goes on record" (paraphrasing there).

Trump got pissed off, tweeted all sorts of nasty shite about Massie, even teamed up with John Kerry to throw shade at him.

That's how it started.

@Grok, is this true?

**Fact check:** Rep. Massie was the only Republican to vote against the Jan 2026 DHS funding bill, which included billions for ICE.

@Grok, was that the only time Massie voted against border security?

In 2023, he was one of two Republicans voting no on a GOP border bill that included wall construction, remain-in-Mexico, asylum changes, etc.

Is that why you clowns always say TACO when Trump doesn’t attack?

They say that because Trump keeps saying he'll end it and doesn't.

He threatens fricking them up, doesn't, says they're gonna negotiate, negotiations fall through, then he really doesn't do anything.

It's a massive unforced error.

You have most of it. No compromise is not good for elected officials. Compromise is necessary in the real world and a lot of what has gone wrong the last 20 years can be blamed on folks who won’t.

Why do dems like him?
Because he causes division in the party. That’s the main reason.

Brainwashed. That’s why. Man over principles. Israel over America. Bush over America First. It’s pathetic.

@Grok, Has there been any Republican Congressman to vote against border security more than Thomas Massie since 2024?

quote:

No, Thomas Massie stands out as one of the most frequent (often the lone) Republican dissenter on certain border security and DHS funding measures since 2024

Massie enjoyed sniffing his own farts too much.

I agree with a lot of his positions but he just didn’t know when to let go and be more deliberate. He liked being the contrarian and it but him in the arse.

Same with MTG. She just couldn’t play the game and flew too close to the sun.
