Would only consider it if the new digs would be like Stalin's House on the Embankment he built for his higher echelon party members that was full of electronic monitoring technology and service elevators with doors opening to every apartment.
Where his NKVD security had immediate access and quick removal of party members of suspect loyalty, with the next stop a Gulag, or worse.
Now it's the FSB who might be a much milder, amicable group.
One positive about living there would be that nobody could honestly say that they feel alone and ignored.
Nothing to fear.
Just heard from a local Putin-ite today - who's really got it bad - that Russia's leader is a good Orthodox Christian gentleman.
But as an admitted, doctrinaire Leninist, has anyone ever read Lenin's official position on religion.
What exactly is the official position of the Orthodox Church on poisoners.

I'm disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm from the Hate America First 'patriots"
Everything in America is fricked up and cant be fixed, its over, collapse any day now. I read that on this board day after day.
Now here is a chance to leave (for free) and you guys dont want to go? Russia is perfect, strong leader, great economy and ahem....you know, no "democrats".

Seems intriguing, but if I were to move it would be to Singapore.

no you drizzling stream of chartreuse diarrhea - it is the leadership there , just as it the leadership here, that is the source of all the probletms.
The only difference is that the people there are far less likely to be happy with the government they live under.
But they are not under the impression that their 'vote' makes any difference. there are too many of out population that think we actually have 'fair' elections.
as soon as it becomes totally obvious that the swamp is in total control, I'd rather live amongst people who I trusted to not be in legion with the oppressors.
That you leave YOU and YOUR ilk here to deal with your beloved federales all by yourselves.

Do your homework and you will see who set up shop in Ukraine and has done more damage to the people than Putin.
What? Putin literally is turning parts of Ukraine to rubble and literally fighting a war killing their citizens.

Do I get a nice Russian lady for a wife if I move there?
There are probably going to be a few hundred thousand fairly young widows from this war. You could probably have your pick.

I can easily see a contingent of people moving to Russia in the future if conservative values and especially the war on Christianity is sustained in this nation.
Oh sure. Vladimir Putin would protect the religious freedom of evangelicals who move to Russia.
You're an idiot.

Now this is an idea that has merit. Been there a few times. Awesome place. Very low crime rate. High standard of living. Cleaner and nicer than any American city, by far.

Can you get the SEC Network there?

If you're making any meaningful contribution to the treasury you wouldn't be contemplating moving to Russia that's for damn sure

I'm exploring possible overseas retirement options, but Russia isn't on the list. Central/South America or SE Asia are more my cup of tea.

The way this country is melting down fast, it may be a good idea to get the hell out while you can... Before the Demorats start throwing white folk (errr I mean Republicans) in the concentration camps.
But I would rather move to Italy..
