25 of 3,722 precincts reporting

No leading 56%-44%

If it fails it’s because St. George didn’t have a plan to tell the voters

Instead they rushed it through without telling the voters what the plan is.
Their plan is to charter it out, they don’t want the headache of a school district, they just want their $

And then Landrys map controversy didn’t help

I voted no on all except the St. George one. Very disappointed it won't pass. Is there another recourse for St. George, or is the school district issue dead?

We should just do it anyway. What are they gonna do?

That’s absolutely not the plan - but I agree they haven’t done much to get things out there in other parts of the state

Yep. St George rushed this and they will pay the cost for it.

Nothing whatsoever was rushed.

It was very poorly planned and event worse—-no one in StG managed to tell anyone outside of the BR metro why they should give a frick

Well if first you don’t succeed, try try again.

We got our city though and now the money stays here instead of BR.

It actually failed worse in EBR only which it also needed to win. That might be the more disappointing result. 69% to 31%

They wouldn’t get their cut if the money from EBR or state funds. There is zero chance without the amendment.

I voted no except 3. Time to throw teachers a bone. My mom works in the BESE office and the talks of a teacher strike is eminent. I researched the outcome of a few states where teachers went on strike and I was shocked at results of the strikes.

I see some posters disagreeing with you. But based on how they tried to contract-out the government services, I totally believe that’s what they intended to do. But also keep their full salaries.
