In your example, if their standard rate is $10/hour and $15/per overtime, they would earn $700 for that week and be able to deduct $100 from taxable income if they qualified (didn't earn over a certain amount).
As another poster stated, it was in place for 2025, but the IRS "didn't have time" to update the w-2 form, so employers weren't required to report the qualified amount. Most people should have been able to easily identify the amount from paystubs.

Most of the things mentioned are EO’s that will be gone after he leaves. Most of these are short term fixes
The problem Trump has always had is he’s not a politician so he doesn’t play the game and doesn’t get laws passed. It sucks that policy and laws are passed this way, but sometimes a president needs to kiss a little arse to get what he wants done. Trump will never do that.
Trump has signed 269 EO’s in his 2nd term and 489 overall. Obama signed 276 in 8 years and Biden signed 162.
Most of his accomplishments will be gone when the Democrats are back in office.
