I guess there is a misunderstanding.

Now who is fear mongering.

The economy isn’t going to be destroyed. Hell, in most places it’s still business as usual essentially.

wow

Of every post, this one might end up being the one that ages the most poorly

Be fair. The article and commentary clearly stated if we didn’t act in an aggressive manner it would overwhelm the system. We did.

I know the source you referring to, and the serious/mild tally have always been questionable.

I suspect it has something to do with HIPPA. They aren’t publically reporting patient status daily.

If the numbers don't support what you want to believe, then just claim they are wrong. We can't trust China's numbers. The CDC's numbers are lagging. HIPAA is causing inaccurate reporting.

But those prediction models saying 60% of the country will get infected and millions will die, those are right on the money.

The coronavirus fearmongers have taken a page from the climate change handbook. Make an absurd prediction to create fear, then when it doesn't happen, move the date out.

"We are 10 days away from collapse!"
10 days later...
"We are a month away from collapse!"

And then when it becomes evident the virus is subsiding and it came nowhere close to their predictions, they will say, "Thank God we took such drastic measures. We're all saved because of my foresight," even though the real numbers never supported their ridiculous predictions to begin with.

The economy has already been creamed in the process and in my opinion over-reaction.

take ibuprofen/ tylenol for fever and robitussin Dm or equivalent for the cough and ride out the symptoms.

I agree with you but you might better double check on ibuprofen; pretty sure they’re saying it could work adversely on it. Might have to go skrate acetaminophen.

Not only that but the people that have a greater chance of being impacted should be self-isolated... why are these old sick people in public getting this?

We've had data for over a month on who this impacts!!!!!

This needs to be articulated more.

Something quick and succinct like a meme that points out the stupidity in real time as its being posted.

It's day 15 since prediction (day +5 for creaming).

How's the creaming going?
