Per Tom Bossert, Trump's former homeland security advisor

LINK

quote:

Bossert specifically suggesting that “School closures, isolation of the sick, home quarantines of those who have come into contact with the sick, social distancing, telework and large-gathering cancellations must be implemented before the spread of the disease in any community reaches 1 percent.”

“If we fail to take action, we will watch our health-care system be overwhelmed,” he warned, “Starting now, public health messaging should be framed in light of this clear objective.”

Alternatively, we can just do nothing because this is just the flu...

Not much panicking and going to a hospital will do anyway....

take ibuprofen/ tylenol for fever and robitussin Dm or equivalent for the cough and ride out the symptoms.

There's an empty lot across from my house.

I'll recommend the HOA use that for the designated "burn site" for all of the bodies from our hood. Just pile them up Walking Dead style and light a bonfire.

I already saw a few folks collapsing in their yards on my way to the gym earlier.

If a patient needs mechanical ventilation, which many who catch this virus do, your suggested course of treatment is a waste of perfectly good Robitussin since the patient will very swiftly die.

I use Mucinex to keep that crap in your lungs loose so you can cough it up.

I was downvoted a bit back for suggesting our healthcare system could be overwhelmed.

I already have a cookie, a Fudge-Striped Keebler cookie. Yum.

1% of the U.S. population is 3,250,000. 805 cases in the U.S. to date. Even if that number is low by a factor of 1000 there would still only be 805,000 infected in the U.S.

Is he seriously suggesting another 2.4 million will be infected in 10 days when worldwide we have only 118,000 cases reported?

22 million people in the U.S. were infected with H1N1... did it overwhelm our healthcare system?

Around 50,000 more than all of Europe.

And about the same as total cases confirmed in the entire world.
