C'mon man, this is our moment in time and nothing will change during this moment. On one hand we are told not to lie for it is a sin.

The gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooberment and MSM (Lying media) are professional liars.

Why is it not a sin? Why do we continue to pay attention?

That sounds to me like it is over. There was a boundary between Russia and Ukraine. Russia didn't like where the boundary was, so they moved it.

How is there satellite evidence of Ukraine gains?

I don’t think they are arguing that there are no Ukrainian gains, just that the gains are insubstantial, and the war is effectively over, as neither the Russians nor Ukrainians can advance much.

Might be. But I've heard from unbiased sources that the problem is logistics. People don't understand how large and dug in the Russian forces are. They are in defensive mode specifically to make counteroffensive measures useless. They are set for a LONG waiting game.

There's truth in this statement. However, Ukraine is fighting for their homeland, the liberation of their people. They are in for the long haul as well. Russia conquered some Ukrainian land but they can never hold it in peace. What good is that for a long term existence?

I also note this cites Hersh. He’s unfiltered Russian propaganda these days.

Is it because he addressed the absurdity of the claim that Putin blew up his own pipeline rather than simply closing the valve?

You can shine a turd all you want to, but it's still a turd. Bottom line: Putin never planned on stopping in Donbas - which had been Russia in all but name only since 2014. He wanted it all. The Russians have historically claimed Ukraine for the Motherland. It provided the Soviet Union a good chunk of their manufacturing and agricultural needs and thus would be an economic boom to a country that has been more or less stagnant since 1991.

When the invasion first began in February of last year, it was quite obvious what the Russians were trying to do. Their objective was to take the entire country. However, they underestimated Ukrainian resolve as well as their ability to logistically carry out a large-scale offensive over thousands of miles with only 180,000-200,000 men.

If the Russians had everything they wanted they would be negotiating right now.

An analogy is something like:
Ukraine: 'Aha! Our counter offensive this month retook 100 yards of territory!'
Reality: 'Great. You only have 300 miles to go.'

You are exactly correct Zach. And at that rate per mile it will cost the US 4 quadrillion.

After I have dug in and placed millions of mines would I want to progress further? And what armny in their right mind would want to wander through that morass, and the Ukranians realize it.

Thats why the ukranians have taken to killing their own people in Crimea with missile strikes, sounds like a winning strategy to me. And sounding more and more like an all out US war against Russia.... US intel, US spotters, US weapontry, and US financing for the troops.

I cannot believe the US population wants this to continue. If it was a zero sum game with money, ask the average American, is it worth your child dying from a fentanyl overdose (due to the porous border) or funding ukraine sovereignty? Is it worth your auto insurance going through the roof due to illegals without insurance? Is it worth getting poor medical care in an emergency room because they are overflowed? Is it worth your child getting a substandard education because funds are being diverted to bi lingual teaching?

Do you really believe that the Russia-Ukraine war is why Fentanyl is prevalent in our communities?
Do you really believe our auto insurance is high because we are helping Ukraine?
Do you think medical care in our ERs had suffered because of this war?
And do you really believe the Russia-Ukraine war is causing our kids to get a poor education?

This is one of the dumbest posts you’ve put on this board. If the war was over today and we got every penny that we sent Ukraine; all of the issues you listed wouldn’t suddenly go away.

Biden would still be president. Our borders would still be a sieve. Fentanyl would still be pouring in. ERs would still be overwhelmed. Insurance would be high.

Government is failing us but it has nothing to do with Ukraine.

We saw 8 years of the regime in Kiev targeting ethnic Russians in the Donbas region under CIA sponsorship and hardly a peep from the regime talking heads in the MSM: “OH LOOK! TRUMP POSTED A MEAN TWEET!”

And whatever your personal opinion of Hersch, this is exactly why the reporting here is credible.

Seymour Hersh has blown open two of the most explosive investigative reports of the true nature of America’s Imperial mission in my lifetime: the Mai Lai Massacre and the prison torture scandal at Abu Ghraib.

Yet this is what it has come to: Progs attacking Seymour Hersch because he is a “propagandist”?

Glenn Greenwald predicted this:

LowTboy is a goose stepper who’ll gladly march behind the war machine if told to do so by the propaganda media.

I’ve always found it mildly entertaining that the creator of that meme didn’t think to put the tank’s manufacturer among the logos.

This will only be admitted after the elections next November.
