You mean like us? Anyone that still believes we are the good guys is naive if not delusional. Trump was suppose to clean this up not double down.

From what I read earlier, we effectively agree to fund their mineral prospecting. Then if anything is found we are just first in line for purchase.
Even that could be complicated by the deal they've signed with the UK.
quote:
It is expected to bolster military collaboration on maritime security through a new framework to strengthen Baltic Sea, Black Sea, and Azov Sea security and deter ongoing Russian aggression, bring together experts to advance scientific and technology partnerships, in areas such as healthcare and disease, agri-tech, space and drones, and build lifelong friendships through classroom projects.
It also cements the UK as a preferred partner for Ukraine’s energy sector, critical minerals strategy and green steel production.
And it was signed.
It will also be interesting to see if Zelensky had any luck shopping a similar deal to France. That was also reported, but I haven't seen anything new on those efforts.

I salute you sir - better man than I - although I don't recall when I first looked it up but it was in reaction to just the same sort of input as yours.

Nobel Prize material. Russia will not attack Ukraine with hoards of Americans assisting in prospecting for and extracting resources. Take that you Canadian bitches. You could never pull this off!

If Trump is doing the deal, it was the right thing to do. Too bad you dufuses can't see the forest for the trees.

Not much info to go on, it's been my experience that, something is a miss.

LOL. Please mark this thread. There are lots of *"dufuses" here with very short memories. The only people that will benefit from this are Trump's rich business friends and the US taxpayer gets the bill when it all goes south.

The US and Kyiv have signed an agreement to share revenues from the future sale of Ukrainian minerals and rare earths, sealing a deal that Donald Trump has said will provide an economic incentive for the US to continue to invest in Ukraine’s defense and its reconstruction after he brokers a peace deal with Russia.
The minerals deal, which has been the subject of tense negotiations for months and nearly fell through hours before it was signed, will establish a United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund that the Trump administration has said will begin to repay an estimated $175bn in aid provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

Bears repeating... frick that! I don't want another MFing dollar spent on the the fricking gay Ukraine midget. Further proof that Trump is opposite side of same grifter coin. frick all politicians. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would be stacking bodies by now.
Can any of you motherfrickers read? Half you retards couldn’t point to Ukraine on a map a few years ago(probably still can’t) and now you’ve let a bunch of people on YouTube turn you into commie supporting emotional women.

All the MAGA Putin bros' heads are about to explode, especially Comrade Snitchkovsky.
Trump has agreed to provide more military and economic assistance to Ukraine PLUS the agreement allows a path for Ukraine's membership in the European Union, something President Trump's previous plan did not allow.
And Trump is saying Putin is making bad decisions regarding having a peace agreement and "may not really want peace now."

Trump was always going to give the better deal to the guy who played ball. Putin doesn’t want to negotiate? Here comes more missiles for Ukraine. Ukraine doesn’t want to play ball? Oh look, no more intel or starlink for you.

A reply on X said what I was thinking: Why are we rebuilding Ukraine?
Edit: In exchange for a rare earth minerals deal. No problem as long as we’re being paid.

There's just too much stupid in this thread coupled with typical anti-Trump shrieking. I wouldn't waste time on them.

Sounds like a reasonably good deal for both parties. I’ll give credit where it’s due, even if it’s late and after exhausting all the wrong paths.

A
Hell of a deal isn’t it?
You have to ask yourself… if Ukraine has all these valuable metals, why can’t they sell them themselves and pay for their rebuilding themselves?

You’re supposed to just trust government. Especially when it’s doing deals with an endemically corrupt foreign state. You can be assured everything is on the up and up.

I went to the Ukraine my first time in 1998 as part of the first US military contingent under Partnership for Peace program. Went back a dozen times between 1999 and 2001.
How many times you actually been there MFer?
