Let the left wing politicians pushing this climate change garbage set their AC to 78. They are the only people that still believe that bunk. The normal people living in the world will use our AC units how we please.

You can set your thermostat as low as you want to doesn't mean you will get the house to that temp. Normal is a 15-18 degree drop from outside. If you can only get the house to 74 put thermostat on 74 so it doesn't run all day ALSO don't ever turn it off if you're leaving as it will cost more to get it cooler when you get home

I was in Manhattan in October of 2024. Suddenly all the ACs in our building didn't work anymore. I thought our AC broke....but they were all turned off in mid October and would not cool anymore and you had no choice in the matter. This has been going on for a while in blue run cities. frick that!

My house has damn good insulation so 71 is already cool enough. Hotels, jam that thing down all the way.
