Both parties suck and are fully retarded. God forbid they fund the minimum amount to keep routine air traffic flowing. Seems like this is every six months. fricking idiots.

$250,000,000 for commercials. Let em have it!

$800,000,000,000,000 for medicare/Medicaid fraud and waste. Let em have it!

When people talk about protests, and really getting in the ear of the idiots in DC, I'll never understand why this doesn't get people riled up. The politicians don't suffer through this shite.

I fly in a month.

I am seriously considering PreCheck.

Last time, I missed my flight due to a long TSA line where the machines were not being used, just dogs and metal detectors. I do fly in the evening where lines are shorter flight is at 8ish.

Had a similar experience last summer, had to run in a full sprint from TSA to the Gate in order to make the plane.

My flight was at 5:30 am, I got out of TSA at 5:12, but I had to go to gate B16 which is at end of the Concourse. Ran through the airport like OJ. They closed the door at 5:15.

My next flight is Breeze and they use the A gates.

This must be a New Orleans/LA/MSY problem because the few times I’ve been through that process it was fast. Experienced it at PDX and SEA and it was a fast and seamless. So much so I was wishing for it full time.

I flew out of Hobby today. Took me 2 hrs to get through Clear line. Regular TSA was 3+ hrs. Never seen anything like it.
I think this has more to do with TSA staff calling off today than anything else. This week alone I flew MSYx2, LIT & MEM. No issues during the work week. Now today I was a complete shite show.

That’s definitely it. These workers are dumb. Last time if you showed up to all your shifts you got a bonus once the shutdown was over.

I’m flying to Austin in a few days out of Portland. Pdx is never an issue but I’ll probably show up early early on my return flight.

What I do not understand is TSA is an appropriations measure and appropriations fall under the Senate parliamentarian rules of "reconciliation" where only a simple majority (50+1) is required to pass a fiscal measure. There must be some GOP Senators like Collins and Murkowski joining the Dems in the Senate to hold this up.

Reconciliation can only be used once per FY for spending related legislation. They need to save it for the annual omnibus bill in the fall

TSA willing to completely inconvenience thousands to get some sympathy points.

They could easy have more staff today, but then no one would pity them.

Maybe I am. The tariffs were a f’ing joke, the ICE violent approach has worked to divide the country even more, the government continues to shut down including government funded programs, he acts like a f’ing baby, and war is the definition of a failure in politics.

Damn, I sure as hell hope you didn’t go to Tech, because you’re proof….that ignorance is the biggest commodity in this country. You get your news from sounds bites, make no time to research anything & didn’t care a bit when Weekend at Bernie’s Autopen was in the white house.

They didn't. I got stuck in this and what should've been a 10 minute wait turned into over an hour easily

Apparanty the MSY TSA staff mostly called in sick today to protest govt shutdown and lack of pay. Maybe the same at Hobby. The TSA wait time site says 6 min wait for MSY now though.
