The parliamentarian ruled that the SAVE America Act did not comply with the Senate’s Byrd Rule, which determines what legislation is eligible to be included in a budget reconciliation package that can pass with a simple-majority vote, thereby avoiding a filibuster and 60-vote threshold.

Trump is trying to give Thune an alibi and off ramp to do the right thing by giving him someone else to blame, for now. He needs to understand that Trump will single him out, personally, if he doesn’t get it in gear.

The Senate Parliamentarian is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the senate majority leader. So Thune can fire her right now for whatever reason or no reason if he wanted to. Unfortunately, he is not going to do so because he is a RINO cuck.
