I agree

Then institute a hiring freeze.

This has to be AI, right? He's not playing around. It's time to rebuild it all.

That wouldn't require a constitutional amendment. A simple federal law would suffice; and with both houses we have the power to make that happen shortly after they are sworn in.

How do you plan to get it through the Senate without 60 votes? You know the dems will filibuster the hell out of any voter ID laws.

If we aren't getting rid of them this is the next best thing

It feels like a pipe dream, but I’d love to see all those bureaucrats pack up and leave NOVA.

I instinctively like the idea of moving the departments, especially to places that are less desirable to live in. Like the middle of Kansas.

I wonder how that would work long term. How would it change these states?

Video is old but the plan will be the same

This is the same video that Trump's 250th Independence Day celebration plans come from. People were posting that like Trump said it today when he says "Three years from now" in the video.

Moving things out of DC only works if the people in DC, stay in DC.

The key, however, is that you have to be willing to bypass Congress and bring on the constitutional crisis. There are plenty of dirty tricks to play.

One of the things Trump could do is press for states and districts to begin recalling their congressional members. And he could pledge to honor a recall at the Executive level. The prior court decisions suggesting this is not possible are all wrong and violate states' rights. It's not logical that once you elect someone, that if it's the mayor, you can recall him, but if it's a member of Congress, all of a sudden you can't recall that person. It makes no sense.

VA voted blue. They will see a population exodus and their home values will tank.

For national security reasons...this shouldn't all be concentrated in a single area.

Legit question how do you know this isn’t a fake video? Is there a way to tell?

Edited: it seems kind of fake to me. Where did it come from?

Decentralizing the fed govt has been something I have supported for decades. If he pulls it off, he's on the right path

"Woah that game of thrones music. What does it mean!?"

It means Winter is coming. And Winter is when you drain the swamp.

I could get behind most of this except the Truth and Reconciliation commission thing and term limits.

A T&R commission can devolve into Soviet like accusation tribunals with score settling as the objective...or like South Africa which led to a high level of resentment there by blacks against whites, whites against blacks . ANC types against the Zulu's etc.

Term limits because I'd rather be represented by POS politicians who are answerable rather than mid to high level bureaucrats who are answerable to no one even if you have civil service reform. If you don't like a politician, get up off your arse and vote him or her out. Because with term limits the pols will only come to pick up their check and do less than the nothing they do now.

Force them to keep pushing against it.

The electoral map says we should have 60 Republican senators.
