The fact is, Desantis is a great, conservative Governor. You just like Trump's style. There's no need to make things up to attack someone you agree with on probably 99% of issues

What could have been a relatively benign and collegial debate sank into the absolute muck, and it wasn't Desantis throwing the anchor around both.

As fast as things are sliding downhill for Governor piss tester, I expect an announcement in the near future that he is firmly not running for president and going to focus his energies on making Florida the best state in the union.
He can't take much more or his 2028 chances will be ruined.

Me? I'm not doing anything other than telling you the political reality.
If Desantis actually ran the campaign you need to run to beat Trump, he can't win in November 2024. He would sound too much like Pelosi and Ryan.
You had Bernie bros in 2016 that refused to vote for Clinton in 16. It mattered and it will be worse for Desantis with the Trump cult. A lot worse.
He's 44 years old and just started his second term. This makes zero sense.
And some may say, well he's trying to save the country but it's pure folly under these circumstances.
If Trump remains in this field Desantis cannot win the Presidency.
He needs Trump in prison or dead. Democrats won't help with the first, maybe Republicans have a plan for the latter.
