Trump is about to impose a $100K fee on the F-1 student visa to H-1B pipeline

So we all saw the headlines that foreign H-1B applications were down 87%. However, the 2027 allocation of H-1Bs was still maxed out because, instead of paying the $100K fee, companies simply hired Indians already here on student visas, which is only a $2-3K fee.
I told you all that the $100K fee on H-1Bs only created an extra step and that Indians and companies would abuse F-1 to get around it. Looks like the Trump administration is getting ahead of it.
Of course, the real fix is that we need Congress to end F-1 and H-1B altogether. Shut down immigration for a decade, outside of extreme cases.

A lot of them stay in school constantly and keep working. When they graduate, they immediately re-enroll in something else. They need to make sure to cover that while they're taking care of all this.
