The number of people who can't tell this is a joke and who get bent out of shape over a joke is a bad indicator for the future of our country.
My favorite is probably saying that this joke is stalling the end of the Iran conflict. To even make that connection is such poor logic that I feel like I would be laughing at the special kid.

We need New Mexico to vote republican before we re name it. It’s a bad look when you re name a state to New America and they continue to vote the wrong way.

I drive through NM fairly often. I never see it as very "America" at all.
Feels like if you were to rename Portland to "Conservativeville" or reclassifying Walmart as a "small business".
