Good, I hope he cuts the program completely.

Good. Food stamp enrollment went up 70% under Obama. When it goes down 70%, give me a call at 1-800-314-DGAF.

Cut to zero. Government takes money at gun point. It should not have anything to do w charity.

No, it isn't, BRAH...
I bet every one of those families has multiple cell phones and high-def TV's. They pay no or almost no income taxes and have free health care through Medicaid along with (usually) taxpayer subsidized housing.

Good. There has to be an incentive for people to get off these damn programs or they’ll continue to stay on them
Give them the basics - meats, beans, rice, vegetables, etc.
It was either my sophomore/junior year at LSU, but a few years back I had $57 in my account and had to strategically buy groceries based on my funds (or lack thereof).
So when I go to check out, I’m behind this overweight family with a grocery cart full of shite. Steaks, frozen pizza(s), liters of coke, juices, cereals, chips, etc. Took 10-15 minutes for them to pull everything out of the cart
Then they pull out a “Louisiana Purchase” card. Infuriating

Making more than $32,640/year is NOT "poor." Sure as hell is for a family of 4 brah.
Do not get suckered into this argument. If you "only" make $32,640/yr, then do not have kids. If you are not dedicated enough at work to prove yourself beyond $32K/yr, then this is your problem.
The government should be there to help those in TRUE NEED. Not the ones the THINK or CLAIM that they don't have enough.

Again?? Damn Trump doubling down

But, a family of 4 making 32K will also get
EIC over $2K
Free School Lunches if their kids are in school
Per Child Tax Credit
Rent Subsidies
and more
Their actual pre-credit tax liability is under $800 so, they can anticipate a "refund" annually over a minimum of $6K
Basically, $32K in America with 2 kids ain't really $32K

Let’s not forget food stamp folks almost exclusively eat unhealthy shite so we’ll be paying for this on the back end as well with Medicaid

I am all for making sure children have proper nutrition, regardless how crappy their parents are. School nutrition is really the only way to make sure they are getting at least one or two good meals a day. I wish it would go back to government run commodities. Let them get a block of cheese and rice and beans. If people want lobster and steak it should not come at the tax payers expense.

The food brands would fight that tooth and nail
Pepsi, Coca Cola, and Frito Lay love them some food stamps

Hell, the people on My 600 pound life eat more than $200 a week in fast food. And if it's not food stamps then it's disability because they don't work. They can't get out of bed.
