According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 36 million Americans were receiving an average of $121 monthly in food stamps as of April of this year. If the Trump administration has its way, that number will be cut by at least 3 million when proposed new regulations are released on Tuesday.

From your link:
quote:

The Trump administration rule would rein in states’ ability to enroll recipients earning more than 130% of the federal poverty guidelines — in most cases capping eligibility to an annual income of $32,640 for a family of four.
Making more than $32,640/year is NOT "poor."

How can anyone be ok with this? 36 MILLION PEOPLE!!! 36...MILLION

36 MILLION

FYI- That's 4.356 billion...a month. For those keeping track at home, that's over $52 billion dollars a year on food stamps alone.

The reliance people place on our government is absolutely sickening

No, it's not. It's not wealthy, but it's also not poor. Someone making that would be in the top 5% of earners in many countries.

We have gone so far off the deep end in this country when taking people off government assistance is considered a bad thing.
