So why didn't MAGA join with the DEMs to vote for the release? They don't have the majority of the GOP faction, but enough to join with DEMs to do DEM bidding (see: McCarthy, Kevin)

Special counsel makes sense. Can point to that to say they’re doing something and deal with it 5 years later once the report comes out and everyone has forgotten.

Stop falling for it and leave the cult, MAGA bros.

Just leave! The list will never be released.

A lot of people on this board have claimed that.
Doesn't even matter. This isn't to protest the clients. It's to protect the sponsor. Israel.

Sure.

But to try and recharacterize these players' posture towards this case as something akin to "Well they probably never really cared or thought about this case and then all of a sudden they were thrown into it once they assumed their new roles" is a total rewrite of history.

This will always be the dumbest of all the takes regarding the epstein case.

Well his initial comment was about Trump.

I don't think Trump gives one shite about the Epstein list but it was politically favorable to play it up for his base.

Jr. may.

I think Kash and Bongino have always been full of shite to different extents depending on the topic (Kash a lot moreso).

Bondi is living it up in the spotlight and wants to maximize media focus, to her detriment (IMHO).

Gaetz is the wild card. He has no reason not to continue to play up Epstein but backs the admin. It seems it would have been to his favor to keep up the grift/ruse.

No because I don't think his theory makes sense and MAGA reps were never going to join in.

Trump and Bondi most certainly knew how the public would react to this. They also knew that the Democrats would come out and claim that Trump was covering it up because he was on "Epstein's List".

People like AOC are very vocal, but the senior leadership of both parties are silent - of course, they probably get a lot of donations from people on that list. This seems like Trump's way of creating an uproar that will require him to appoint a special counsel to investigate. Congress will have to go along, and the investigation will take some time, which will allow Trump to tie up lose ends with trade deals, peace deals, and the economy before the shite hits the fan.

I clearly said Trump and Bondi. I don’t follow these guys religiously like you and others. You refuted me with mainly people who I didn’t mention. So characterizing it as a total rewrite of history is misleading.

Those are the comments of a person who wants to appoint a Special Counsel to specifically show that what he's saying is wrong
