He said them Democrat crooks cost him a lot of money by pressuring advertisers to avoid X.

Another reason to vote these demons out.

Was that before or after Elon told advertisers to go frick themselves and he didn't need them?

Musk owning twitter has already had a huge, positive, impact on information dispersion for not only the US, but the world. It will only grow and improve the spread of information going forward. eta-And it better grow for it to ever turn a profit.

That is just it in a nut shell. No need to make a profit per say on twitter. The profits will be made by the message in many other ways. The investment will pay back a 100 times fold.

At the end of the day he will make a ton off that investment and saved free speech while killing MSM. Mission accomplished.

Nobody is arguing this

If Elon didn't feel he overpaid he wouldn't have sued to unwind the deal.

This also implies he cares about money

Those are the points being made

Did Musk overpay? Most certainly.

Nah. Guarantee liberal media would pay whatever it takes to buy X back from Musk now.

Sure, and this would be true is Elon didn't overpay initially

Just because he maybe could make a profit today doesn't speak to whether or not he overpaid.

Tesla is up over $200B alone this week which could easily be tied back to him buying Twitter.

$44B just isn't worth as much to Elon as it is to most of us. And by "most of us" I mean anyone else on the planet.

Most of Elon’s wealth is tied up in the companies he has majority ownership. That is, his assets are not very liquid…not a good look selling company stock to prop up X.

When Elon purchased Twitter they were losing money. Elon needed a cash infusion but did not want to sell any of his stock in his companies for that infusion. It would have sent a really bad signal to Wall Street. Rumor is Larry Ellison stepped in and provided the cash infusion. After the bad patch in the beginning X has been making money.
