Thoughts on Mike Rowe?

Is the guy actually trying to get more able bodied men working or is it a grift?
Rowe talks about the importance of people working physically demanding jobs while he has never himself worked a traditionally physically demanding job (all of his work involves acting, singing, or being a show host).

Well he has provided money through his foundation for those wanting to get into the trades. Many have completed there training and have started their own business! So is he a grifter and what have you done to provide free training?

Yes.
More like a hustle than a grift, though. It was a unique idea for a show that found a huge audience during its prime.
He does believe in his mission, though.

He is correct. We need more people in the trades. People with skills that can build useful things and can work as an apprentice while learning and get paid. I am an engineer but without people in the trades and construction none of my designs would have ever been built. They are an integral part of the team that turns ideas into reality.

Look at all the retard leftist in here trashing a man that is trying to do a lot of good for our country and citizens. Always have to tear something down. You never build or like anything good and productive.

I think he relies heavily on stats that don't show the whole picture but the pay opportunities should motivate people. Yes, you can make 150-250k in the trades but that doesn't happen just because you say that's what you're gonna do. If you want to be a legit master plumber you're gonna need a master plumber to train you and sign you off. That becomes a problem when there are unions involved, and they don't want to lose you, or they'd rather nepotism play a role.
Overall, MR is genuinely doing good work.

I didn't have shitting on Mike Rowe on my bingo board. He's as real as it gets and does a shitload of good for a lot of people, while promoting ideas that are good for the country.
