So down voted for the current condition of the City Park golf facility. I guess the down votes must be from people who never was around in the 70's and 80's until Katrina. I loved the parks golf facilities. It had something for everyone at all levels.

Junior Course: We took the bus up Airline Hwy transfer to Carrollton Ave to the park. Get out at the 18th hole of the South Course and walk to the Junior Course club house and play all day for a few bucks. Purchased Jack Nicklaus golf clubs with money I saved and purchased at Security Sporting Goods for less then $100 bucks full set! It was great way to for kids to beat it around and not bet in the way of more advanced golfers. It was a nice layout with three hole forced water carry.

Old South Course: Once we got better moved up here and it was my favorite area of the park. It's where the PGA New Orleans open was played back in the 50's. We also played the North course. Always walked a just a few buck for around.

West and East Course: Once we could play decent made the move to the better golf course for like $12 to 16 bucks to walk if I remember correctly. Played here through out college when back home from going to LSU.

So it provided something for everyone and this is why when I go back and look now it is depressing because I know it was a jewel in the middle of the city. I'm just sad that no city administration has done something or a private group has not stepped up!

As a kid played all the City Park golf courses. Was in town last week and drove by the park and what a sad site. The north course is still just as boring as ever. The new course looks pitiful, The areas where the East course use to be had 18" of over growth along with the old 9 hole junior course.

What was once a great facility has been ignored and neglected. What a shame many great memories. When I was old enough I joined the St John Golf Club.

Use to do a whole lot of fishing there also. Fished in the rodeo every year with my dad! Some of the lakes around the new course has also been neglected with algae.
Had a DEI hire a black woman as an "Electrical Engineer" in a big chemical company I was working for and she was assigned to one of our plant expansion projects. After one team meeting I told my boss she is clueless has no idea what she is doing! Well after a few weeks the plant team members asked for her to be replaced. Well it was not her fault she was in over her head. Felt sorry for her but... She went to a black college. They moved her around to different departments but in the end she quit.

Then on the other hand worked with a black male Electrical engineer from the east coast and he was a work machine. Dude was on top of everything and one of the best I worked with in over 30 years in the industrial plant field. Not sure which college he went to but dude was solid!

So every person should be judged only on the output and work ethic!! The cream rises to the top but in this day and age you have to work harder to make up for the ones who can't perform!

Glad I'm retired and I do not have to work in this crazy woke environment anymore!

With the transfer portal this is not a big a deal as it use to be! If you miss on a 5 star some don't pan out but you can go get proven players in the portal who you know can play. You have to spend the money wisely. I trust Kiffens evaluation when it comes to this. Remember OM had zero 5 star O linemen and yet lead the SEC in rushing. I trust he knows what he is doing. He passed on a BR running back to go get one in South Carolina who fits his system. The Catholic kid is a good running back but not for his system.
Morons will listen and have no idea what she has been talking about! This will never be covered on the main stream! But then again they will not listen and understand what is happening. This administration has the economy on the right track change does not happen over night but is headed for a big boom!
I used to play the Vice Pro but it would hit the green with no release at all so I switched to the Titleist Velocity and like it since it does release but not to much. I'm 69 so not a high swing speed.
Why would anyone have negative comments about this investment this dude is providing for golf? Any golf facility in the BR area should be welcomed with open arms. Moved out of LA years ago but one of the few areas I would move back to would be the St Francisville area but with no golf courses that's a no go for sure. If the Bullfs was back in business I would be all in to move back.
Doing lessons now with them and so far not impressed. Working on my driver and yes they look at my swing as compared tor Rory side by side! Well I'm 69 and no way can do what he does. They also have an app which they upload your lesson with analysis. Well the app is crap and never uploads! I'm a 12 HC!
I talked with him at the Houston tournament years back before LIV and we talked LSU football and he was fine. Gland he is back on the PGA
Was on a work assignment in Mumbai for six weeks and felt like six years. 23 million people with the vast majority living in poverty. Had a local driver and we has 3 fender benders. The traffic was like no other and I live now in Katy, TX. But most of all the dirt and smell can not be described. I said everyone should be forced to go there and you will realize how great we have it here. Car horns blaring constantly all the time! Had no idea what I was getting my self into when I accepted that assignment!
Well listen to the Teo and RFK podcast. If roundup was eliminated it would put 80% of the farmers out of business. There's no other alternatives at this time but they are spending money to find solutions. One being a laser system that has shown great promise but is very expensive.

Had a friend who drove a limo picked up Arch and wife for an event at the Dome where he was being honored by the Saints at half time. He brings them to the Dome and hangs out waiting to take them home. Arch calls right after half and said he is ready to go home. He brings them home gets out opens the car not a word or thanks or a tip! The Saints where paying for the limo so that cheap sack gave him nothing! We are both from NO and have grown to dislike the Manning's over time.

Just another reason why we dislike them!!!

This is a guy who played for Eric Wolford and had a good relationship with. I can't imagine if they did not want him they could have got him! I don't know Lanes plan at OL but he knows offense and he know how important it is to have one. Just taking a wait and see!

re: The Sean Ryan Show.

He lost me with the Gavin interview! He had very little push back. Sorry I guess some Navy Seals can be soft sad to say!
Had a good friend years ago who worked at the IRS. He was one of the only white dudes there. He was given a work load much higher then his counter parts. He was trashed by the mostly minority workers who could not execute their jobs. So he told them he was quitting and was going to sue them which he did and the Justice Department agreed and took the case. He won the case and he never told me the amount he got. Sad thing was the fools at the IRS could give a crap they just lost a work horse. The US tax payers payed the price.

Also the IRS does not require you to pass the CPA test so it is overloaded with morons who can't get a job at one of the big CPA firms.

re: The new arena might be in trouble

Well Texas pulled off a similar arena which I have been to a few times for concert and it's really nice. I knew Louisiana could not pull it off! To good to be true!
