re: This Algerian boxer stuff is what’s wrong with social media, she’s always been a woman

Boxer is 46XY.
I don't think we're getting the full story on this boxer. The Swyer syndrome leads to feminine appearance and this boxer does not look feminine at all. Boxer got busted with high T and that is not part of Swyer. So, this boxer is either a dude, straight up, or it's not Swyer Syndrome.
Also 46XY - Androgen insensitivity. In androgen insensitivity things are somewhat similar but with high T levels. It was thought that there was a mutation in the androgen receptor, rendering the high T levels a non-factor so there was no development of masculine features etc. However, it was found that sensitivity of the androgen receptor can vary, meaning some response to T is there. This seems more likely than Swyer in this situation. That means there are higher T levels and some response, which means this person has to compete with men.
Things don't make sense with this boxer. Regardless, high T means it's a man you're dealing with, or a doped woman. Can't compete with women.
This is my problem with the anti-doping people and bodies like the IOC. A Russian skater gets a 4yr ban for a drug that doesn't enhance performance. A weightlifter dopes at a qualification meet and is still allowed to go to the championship meet. A boxer has high T but is not banned or restricted and ends up at the Olympics and the explanation for being female doesn't match the literature. There is never consistency, they make mistakes all the time, they are never accountable when they screw up, and they are never required to have hard evidence in order to ban something. And it's always the athlete that suffers.

So it’s basically like if a woman took steroids.
That’s what I’m thinking, but she was born that way.
This is a tougher one than I initially thought, and I knew she wasn’t born with a penis. But by what measure now to we categorize for sports?
Whether or not one can give childbirth?
Or the testosterone and chromosome test? But if we’re going that, then you gotta test them a 4 years old before t-ball tryouts.

I'm in 100% agreement with you on everything and was waiting for someone to call that guy out on the "some" xy chromosome nonsense.
After reading that nonsense from several posters, I felt obligated to post some actual facts. If there’s anything that grinds my gears, it’s nonsense.

where does Khelif fight? The men? Not at all? Honest question.
Men or not at all. Definitely not the women’s league.

It’s just not feasible to have a special classification for sports competition for people with genetic anomalies
XY on the 23rd pair is not an anomaly.

He is intersex born with male-level testosterone which gives him an unfair advantage over other female competitors. As such she should be banned from the competition. She was previously disqualified by the IBA

He has XY chromosomes, has a vagina but no uterus and a high testosterone level.
So he is a handicapped male. If he does not want to compete with males then he would qualify for the special olympics let him compete there....with other men.
That is what the special olympics are far, NOT for the world to make special excuses so you can compete with women.

I thought it was
Penis = man
Vagina = woman
Are you saying you disagree with that?
Still is.
Just because it's claimed he has a "vagina" doesn't mean he does.
Guarantee it's some sort of deformity that more resembles a vagina than a penis, but it's not a functioning, properly formed vagina like the sort of organ you imagine when you think of the word "vagina".
No one has claimed there aren't intersex people whose genitalia are ambiguous. For those cases, you look deeper (genetics).
But fully formed, properly functioning (so, 99.9% of all cases) genitalia certainly determines man or woman. You will never see a man with a fully formed properly functioning vagina, nor will you see such a penis for a woman. Sometimes you have to dig deeper, but those exceptions prove the rule. Just look at percentages.

Tiger1242's Olympics would be a sight to see.

You clearly do not understand simple genetics and chromosome function in reproduction. A human either has XX or XY chromosomes. If XX it is a female. If XY it is a male, regardless of the extent to which the genitalia are properly formed or malformed. Period.
If the boxer is XY it is genetically a male. End of story.

FWIW...the italian lady has a history of wimping out,
But you are right, she did quit in the opening round of the Tokyo games in a similar fashion.

Late to work? Russia
Lost your wallet? Russia
XY Chromosomes? Russia
Russia, Russia, Russia.

Why do we continue to contort ourselves, debate endlessly and navel gaze to appease 0.05 percent of the population?
This individual is not a biological woman and should not compete with women in sports. Full stop.

I think most people are confused and maybe also have a hair trigger on the tranny issue, especially when women are involved.

She has been beaten by women
And that means what? So the tranny can't fight. Do you have a sister? A wife? A daughter? So if one of them were competing in highschool boxing and a dude who had lost to a girl beat them into a bloody pulp are you going to feel better because he had previously lost to a girl?
FULL RETARD. That is the world you people are creating.

You need someone to pull their pants down in order to tell if they’re a man or a woman? Wtf?

At least if you are going to try and argue, make statements that are correct
At least if you are going to try and argue, make statements that are correct. The SRY gene, which is located on the Y Chromosome, is responsible for male-ness or not. There cases where this gene is mutated and inactive, so the person is for all intents and purposes genetically female.
All of that being said, this entire premise is wrong. She hasn’t been chromosome tested. The IBA “performed” a “confidential” gender test on her in 2022, let her compete for another year and half until she rocked a Russian boxer, then the (Russian owned and operated) IBA ruled her DQ’d.
I’ve got another Q for you, or anyone that wants to answer it…which one is the man in this photo? There’s only 1 right answer:

Basically she failed a test last year that said she had too many XY chromosomes
