Nobody forced the farmers at gunpoint to take out loans that they could not pay. No one forced them to sell to scum like ADM and Cargill. Trump sure as shite was not helping them.

This is bullshite. We’ve been losing family farms for decades. Consolidation in the agricultural industry is nothing new and not due to a Democratic presidency. Democrats are the reason biofuel policy even exists and without it, the agricultural sector in the US would be much worse off.

Commodities are bottoming out, farmers cannot make profit on current grain prices with inputs so high. It’s largely due to South America steadily ramping up acreage and production, there’s a glut of grain on the market

Farmer had to sell out bc just to put fricking food on your good for nothing table they had to take out a half a million dollar loan for 1 combine just to harvest the crop from there land. Then sell that crop for Pennies on the dollar just to be in the hole at the end of the year. Farmers have to buy groceries to mother fricker. frick you. frick you you piece of shite.

You are too dumb for words. Most farmers barely break even and it is one of the hardest jobs if not the most difficult job on the planet. Government subsidies aren’t generally very good ideas but it’s one of the few programs that does keep the food supply relatively stable. If you eliminate subsidies or low interest loans, one bad harvest would bankrupt most farmers and there aren’t lines of people waiting to replace them.

Farmers need good prices for oil and natural gas. Diesel fuel is a big component of cost as is fertilizer, plus if you need gas for drying. Lower those costs and margins improve.
One party wants to reduce the number of cattle, make ev tractors and thus increase the cost of hauling.

It’s an untold story but small farmers are being squeezed . It’s been happening for decades.
Guys like bill gates are buying up thousands of acres and driving the market which makes it impossible for the small guy to compete on the same basis.
