Ok. Educate me. Tell me why I need to give you more money in the form of subsidies.....because that is what you are asking for, correct? You're against socialist give aways until it's your give away. We already keep a floor on prices. If you are falling underneath, Daddy in Washington is not gonna save you.

Oh, I very much live in the US....and you want more money from the government. Just say it. Ask Donnie that after he gets in if he can go and burn some crops in South America....maybe Australia. You know support you floor without my tax dollars paying for your corn to go into my gasoline

The Soviet Union introduced forced collectivization (Russian: ???????????????) of its agricultural sector between 1928 and 1940 during the ascension of Joseph Stalin. It began during and was part of the first five-year plan. The policy aimed to integrate individual landholdings and labour into nominally collectively-controlled and openly or directly state-controlled farms:
Notice how,it took 12 years. So just like most things they take away it’s just a little bit at first and most people don’t care or notice. Then 12 years later they had taken it all.

One of the first things Marxists always go for is the food.

So guess what happens? More food gets IMPORTED because of the cost. From places not stupid enough to try and cripple their energy production.

Damn but you’re stupid.

What do you suggest....more welfare for the beatfied farmer? Aren't the ethanol subsidies enough
Not 100% disagreeing with you, but if my tax dollars were to go to welfare that I could pick, keeping America’s food supply out of the hands of international corporate oligarchs would fit the bill. That’s the end game of the eco war on agriculture…getting farmland away from private citizens.

Sad actually though, since you can’t figure out farmers don’t want subsidies. They’d much rather have affordable energy costs.
You’re also apparently too stupid that affects transportation costs to ship their products to market.
Since Washington is determined to cripple the energy industry, what are their options?
Subsidy or Bankruptcy. Binary solution set for a large percentage of them.
You won’t get that either, because you’re a moron

But, a subsidy you give to one, you give to all. So Jack the small farmer gets his subsidy and the CEO of Cargill gets his. ADM gets theirs as does Bill Gates. Then those guys produce crops keeping the price relatively low and Gates , ADM and Cargill use that money to buy Jack out because Jack cannot compete on scale with low prices....and for him no subsidy short of an open ended one is going to be enough.

^^^ this x 10 ^^^
frickin fertilizer costs are through the roof. And we certainly can't depend on Russia for key commodities
quote:
Western countries have not imposed any sanctions on Russian food and fertiliser exports in response to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine last year, but Moscow says its exports are hampered because sanctions make it harder for traders to process Russian payments or to obtain vessels and insurance.
Also, some individuals linked to major fertiliser companies such as EuroChem founder Andrey Melnichenko, Uralchem's Dmitry Mazepin and Acron Group's Viatcheselav Kantor have been placed on European Union sanctions lists.
These sanctions have made it more complicated for the companies to operate and more than 400,000 tonnes of fertiliser were initially stranded in European Union ports, though some have now been released and exported to Africa.

So you want artificially cheap fuel below market prices for the average consumer? What percentage works for you?
Say you get your wish and you produce a bumper yield as does Argentina, Brazil and Argentina and the prices reflect the abundance making products cheaper but you still have over supply. Do you then come to me and ask for more money and specific policies to alleviate your pain because you decided that you deserved an inordinate discount on fuel.

OK say you get your wish. Then the futures markets for commodities come in and slaughter you to an extent that you'll need DNA to id the victims. What do you want when the futures market for corn, soybeans and wheat becomes so low that you cannot even recover at a moderate loss....because that could happen.
If that happens, you'll be on the street begging and you'll wish you had listened to Dicks me. Eat your shite sandwich now or you won't even be able to afford even that.

You realize there has been violence and protests for years across Europe as the EU and WEF have been actively trying to end small farms over there?
You would do well to research the issue.

It's all about control. They want to control our food supplies.
Posted on 8/5/24 at 9:47 am to TheWalrus
bullshite? So, where do you get your news from? Because the attacks on farmers from globalists has been the source of MAJOR controversy and civil unrest in Europe for a couple years now.

MSNBC and CNN have barely covered any of that so the lib lemmings here are oblivious.

Probably should explain what that means, ah heck why bother. They’re too stupid to understand a simple explanation.
