They had installed flock cameras for the world cup and apparently crime decreased, they removed them and crime has spiked.

I gotta admit Im real confused, I thought flock cameras were only used by police to harass their ex wives. You mean they help with crime????

I say leave them turned off, murders and rapes are not a good trade off for someone photographing me on a bad hair day.

Don't apply logic here. These people hate flock cameras and to an extent some are ACB (All cops bad). Yet they usually have no problem surveilling their neighborhoods, which includes viewing people walking in public areas like a sidewalk or driving a bike or car on a public road.

Since many of us are against Flock cameras, and some here support them.

How about a compromise? Remove all the cameras but require mandatory tracking devices that must be activated before your car or truck will start. Since the government has a right to know where you are while in public (apparently). A mapping system could determine when you are on public areas.

Think of how much easier it would make things for police!

Are you onboard?

Flock cameras are a bandaid for not punishing crimes severely enough.

I’m not willing to be constantly monitored by the government because Judge Shaniqua won’t punish criminals.

+1

But also Hanlon's Razor... "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence"

It is that incompetence, which makes Katie Wilson look like she's aged 7 years already. Compare this to Michigan's Governor, or LA's mayor.

Isn’t government CCTV different than independent flock cameras ?

Correct. I have mixed feelings about the Flock cameras, but even large cities can be made pretty safe if actually punished crime. Cameras are a tool for a reactive police force. We could deter a lot of crime before it ever happens but we refuse to do so.

This ignorant f*cking c*nt has no f*cking business running the fry machine at McDonald's much less running a major f*cking city. She is literally getting people murdered.

pretty wild what liberalism does to white women. The chief is the prettiest one, and the one most put together. But that poor woman lives in fear of losing her career and benefits at any moment due to the radicalized agenda of a lunatic. And listen to this woman talk about the audit, the all seeing piece of data so coveted by the administrative state. A number that can be manipulated to serve a purpose. These people live in an alternate reality.

This is 100% it, and Government will use whatever it can to impose more control. Crime is a great one to use when you’ve already used the terrorism angle a couple of times to gain more surveillance and control of the population.

To be fair, even the harshest detractors acknowledge that flock cameras can help reduce and solve crimes. It's more of a "the juice isn't worth the squeeze" kind of thing.
