The Left: “Elon Musk never invented any of the stuff.”

See this trope all over the place. It is, by far, the most telling indication that the person has never built something others value.
Musk is a strange dude, and he would admit that. His maniacal obsession (a la Gates, Jobs, etc) can flame people out, but holy shite the stuff they get done.
The world was not and is not changed by people who invented cars, computers, or art. How many other creations have sat “undiscovered” by the rest of the world because the creators never developed the marketplace for them? “Marketplace” does not necessarily mean a place to sell the creations, but it does mean finding an audience or customer base willing to invest time or money in your creation, and time looking at your art in a gallery or museum is included.
These people are always so exasperating to me. They are largely the type that will also rail about greedy business owners while they tap out this crap on their $1,000 phone while sipping a $9 latte.
It’s a set of people that can’t get past their own bitterness to recognize that they are the beneficiaries (and enablers) of so much they rail against.
They will laud these same people if they say the right things, but go completely mental when the heresy comes out.
Rant over, but I just get so tired of these preening assholes.

Elon absolutely built Tesla and SpaceX, both essentially from scratch.
SpaceX is the most amazing company of our lifetimes.
On top of that Starlink and Neuralink and then his lesser stuff is all amazing

Henry Ford didn’t invent the automobile.
Martin Luther King, Jr. didn’t invent the peaceful protest.
Bill Gates didn’t invent the personal computer or the operating system.
Warren Buffett didn’t invent stock trading.
Mark Zuckerberg didn’t invent social media.
Jeff Bezos didn’t invent online retail sales.

This is what liberals do when they want you to forget about the real history.
The make stuff up and repeat nauseam until some mindless people accept it or at least get confused and don't know what to believe.

That a pretty bad argument that they are giving. Look at today's billionaires. They didn't really invent anything. They just found a way to more efficiently utilize certain objects.
Bezos didn't invent flea markets or the internet.
Gates didn't invent computers.
Graves didn't invent chicken fingers.
Etc etc.

Thomas Edison exceeded Nikolai Tesla only his ability to promote his ideas. Yet most folks only ever know about Edison, who was himself a miserable vile human being.

You have to wonder if they would be shocked to find out that Edison invented almost nothing, yet held hundreds if not thousands of patents. People like Nikola Tesla worked for Edison, and actually invented things.

Early comments agree, but net downvotes.

Correct our economy does not reward workers or inventors. It rewards investors and salesmen

Elon Musk invented the question mark.
Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

Tesla was incorporated (as Tesla Motors) on July 1, 2003, by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning in San Carlos, California.[2][3][4] The founders were influenced to start the company after General Motors recalled all its EV1 electric cars in 2003 and then destroyed them,[5] and seeing the higher fuel efficiency of battery-electric cars as an opportunity to break the usual correlation between high performance and”
