The real question is why did he go in the tent? He knew damn well it wasn't his. It's like a football player trying to stand on the opposing team's sideline. I can only guess that the reason he was there was to start trouble. He basically dared the dead kid to make him leave.

It was an active event.. the adults were minding the field.

Track meets in 'nice areas' aren't like 'da club' where beefed up security is an expected necessity.
