It is true, it has been broken for a half century now.
Long gone are the days when a man could graduate from high school and get a manufacturing job, buy a home, raise a family, and live a decent life with a good retirement.
You know the whole American Dream thing.
We were sold out by our elected leaders from both parties.

I've noticed this narrative bubbling up over the last 2 years. It's essentially playing the race card on a strong economy, because you have no answer for prosperity under the republicans. It's mind blowing when you consider how much minorities benefited from the Trump bump.
I've also noticed that the slowest economic recovery in history has been rebranded as the *longest economic recovery in history. They've also taken to claiming that Trump inherited this economy, while simultaneously blaming him for lockdown related job losses.
The naked dishonesy is jaw dropping.

Biden was in office the previous 50 years, and I don’t recall Hunter ever struggling financially.

Isn't Trump just riding the coat tails of the Obama economy? That is what libs have been harping the last 4 years. If that is the case, the economy that was not working is mostly Biden's fault

didn't Kamala Harris take credit for the pre-Covid Trump economy?

Yeah record low unemployment for just about every demographic sucked.

Joe Biden has never actually written anything he’s “tweeted” since running for President. Change my mind.

Guaranteeing equality of outcome, not opportunity, is what this marxist is describing.
Elect marxists; expect marxism.

The economic policy has been virtually the same. The tax cuts and deregulation and the temporary hawkishness of the central bank are the only material differences. Most economic growth came from government spending post GFC. Hilarious enough draconian regulations forced the Fed to bailout big business because the banks couldn't step in during the liquidity crunch and dollar shortage. Guess who passed those regulations and signed them into law?

Yep. That 3 1/2 % unemployment was killing the country............

This fricking guy here.
During the Obama and JoKe years, the only area’s that prospered was the counties and areas around DC. In the first 3 years of Trump’s deregulated, booming blue collar economy, everyone prospered

The hard truth is that our economy wasn't working for folks long before this crisis. It's why we can't just go back to the way things were — we have to build back better.
We've got to create an economy that works for everyone — not just the wealthy and well-connected, we must get back to the path of NWO Globalism .

Technically he might be right. But that is because a significant portion of his base are misfits and losers. NO economy would ever "work for them".
For the people who are willing to work, earn and save, the economy was working just fine for. For those who are perpetually jealous of their "more wealthy" neighbor and believe it is the government's job to create "income equality" EVERY economy is going to be "bad".
