The hard truth is that our economy wasn't working for folks long before this crisis. It's why we can't just go back to the way things were — we have to build back better.

We've got to create an economy that works for everyone — not just the wealthy and well-connected.

So he doesn’t want to go back to the good ole days of the Obiden administration??

Joe, you’ve spent 5 decades in Washington— why didn’t you create an economy that works for everyone in all that time?!?!?

More projection than a 30 screen cineplex.

The Trump economy was roaring and all ships were lifted by a rising tide.

The Obama economy? Some favored companies and people living in or around the DC beltway got richer while everyone else got fricked.

Yea no way all of those employed people felt like it was working.

Let's get back to the Dem way of higher taxes and low wage jobs.

A nonsensical cliche is all Democratic voters require. So a nonsensical cliche it shall be. And when he talks about everyone, he means the CCP.

Yeah, statistically it was the best in over 50 years, and a lot better than when Joe was ever in Congress or VP, so let the lies flow...This is just propaganda, as there are always poor people, somewhere, that are jealous of somebody else, blaming them for their choices...

These are the exact same words Kamala said at the debates.

Joe says the economy was Obama's but it also wasn't working for folks. So I guess this statement is all his buddy's fault.

Trump was doing exactly what he said when he said he wanted to raise all boats. This is a blatant lie.

These people have no clue what middle class empowerment looks like. They have been complaining for over a decade about the results of their own policies.

I read an Atlantic article on what we can do to help the middle class, and the author said in one paragraph we need to stop bailing out big business (which is correct) and then two paragraphs later he said we need to ensure job security in times of uncertainty. Another way of saying we need to bail out big business LMAO

They simply cannot handle any short term pain and allow creative destruction and volatility to build the dynamic economy required to strengthen the middle class. You can't have a welfare state and stable prices without extreme wealth concentration.
