This is an excellent opportunity for a new musician working their way to the top to have the spotlight and showcase their talents and celebrate the USA on the big stage.

Get agents and talent scouts busy canvassing the country for new musicians. Give them a maybe once in a lifetime shot.

Since when does "250" spell Trump?

Why do you think the 250th birthday bash will be any different?

You are right. It will be about Trump. But it will mostly be about America. Trump is the President after all.

Its not like Obama wouldn't have made it about politics, Biden was incapable to comprehend it but he would have also.

So what, again. Whoever is in office it will always swing their way to some degree.

It doesn't mean you can't be American and it doesn't mean you can perform for the people and not completely support the current administration.

Only to the most smooth-brained, pants-wetters who are afflicted with terminal TDS.

I’m assuming because of that one song which finds loose parallels between our nation’s independence and a battered woman reaching her limit.

He sure as hell tried to turn Jesse Jackson's funeral into a stump speech FFS. A funeral. The man turned a funeral of a man that didn't even like him into a political speech.

This isn't hate. Its fear. These performers are being threatened by powers on the Left. “If you do this show, you're supporting fascism and we’ll end your career”. That sort of thing. Cowardly, yes. We should remember who folded.

They, their bands, and their families are also being threatened with violence by the usual suspects on the left.

I was nine years old in 1976, and the bicentennial celebration was everywhere and throughout the whole year. You could not escape the celebration and love of the country. Compare that to what’s going on for 250. It’s incredibly sad to me.

I keep reading people say the 250 event is too divisive and more than they signed up for - but fail to mention specifics.

It will be interesting to see what performers end up playing and how it helps their careers.

Bring on little known or unknown talented people who love America to perform.

I would rather put my time, interest, and money into industry outsiders anyway.

Every president in the last 30+ years has made every event about themselves, it’s part of their attempts at “legacy” building. Obama made everything about him, Biden’s people made it about him, only difference was the media fluffers were all in lockstep for those two. Where have you been the last 26 year since Al Gore invented the internet?

If the 2020 election had not been STOLEN…it would not be Trump for 250.

You can't be serious.

Every cabinet meeting opens with a round table of Trump's lackeys giving a mandatory speech about how great Trump is.

I've never seen anything like it in this country before, and I'm sure it's very similar to how North Korea operates.

What I don't understand is how/why the flaking performers agreed to the event in the first place.

It was done on purpose so that they could do exactly what they are doing ... put on a big public display withdrawing.

Virtue-signaling weaponized by using the biggest public spectacle possible ... the celebration of this country's 250th Anniversary.

It will be parroted, by the Marxo-Commie media, over and over again up to, and through, the festivities ... ad nauseam.

It's all for show.

I have full faith that most red blooded Americans will not gaf, and also that this administration will make the necessary adjustments to make sure that the celebration goes off as planned.

It's not about the virtue signaling twatwaffles. It's about the U.S. of A.
