hey, remember that time none of the global warming predictions came true? No, well it is hard to keep track since they have been saying the world would be destroyed in 5-10 years if we don't do something (invariably damaging to Western capitalist economies) now. Lather rinse repeat, 30 years later we are just fine, the oceans didn't rise, the great plains didn't turn to deserts, etc, etc...and yet morons like you keep buying each version of the ginned up crisis. Well here's a fun thought since you think co2 is going to destroy the world. Power plants are by far the biggest source of co2, and the same people who are crying about it now are the ones that stopped us from building zero emission nuclear plants in the 80s and 90s

Do you remember a little thing called Chernobyl in 1986? It was the catalyst behind the collapse of the Soviet Union, and places like Kiev and its suburbs are still enduring its ravages to this day.

AL Gore said in 2004 that if we didn't reverse the trend we would pass the point of no return in 10 years, that was 4 years ago. Apparently there is nothing we can do, our fate is cast, might as well get rid of all the stupid regulations, start burning more coal and enjoy what life we have left.

I do remember. I remember the soviets built their reactors with pretty much no safety margin, and no containment. And because the left is by nature irrational they figured that meant there should be no nuclear power, despite it being the 'cleanest' possible power source. Now they think they're should be no fossil fuel power, for equally irrational reasons.

they don't like you remembering back that far. That's why it's always 10 years. It's a long enough interval for people to largely forget the specifics of the last time they cryied wolf, short enough that the can generate the perception of a continuing crisis

Hey Tarzana,

ready to blow you mind????

Go back just 10 years from your precious 80's.

Know what the fear was then?? Global COOLING!! Ice age was coming!

You can't make this shite up, every 10 years, the global crisis, COMPLETELY CHANGES.... Cooling, Ozone, warming, now climate change.

Yet, sadly and unsurprisingly, liberals never even notice the moving goal posts. They never even question the "science" ....

Oh, about today's science, oh I used to love the PURITY....now science is done backwards.

You have the result you want, and you make up "predictions" "estimations" "guestimations" "probability models" etc..... to get your result. You don't get your information from the experiment, you make up an experiment until it gets close to your desired result.... This is fricking disgusting.

Yet the majority of your "FACTS" are based on ASSUMING temperature measurements in DIRT, from 100's of years ago are accurate to the 10th of a degree. Really liberals? Really? I swear, the more you break it down, the party of "tolerance and intelligence" .... has little of either.

Because as you continue to break it down, you realize the left is just a few types - Normal people who don't realize the media is manipulating them (sorry but you must be called ignorant or gullible, because obviously....you are.), Angry Feminist, Self-hating Whites, Plantation minded Minorities.... and wait for it...... at the very top of the Left --- the people that all the rest of the left actually DESPISE ----- Rich old white men. IRONIC MUCH YOU frickING CLOWNSHOES...

Back on topic... Follow the money kids, find out who is paying for this bullshite science. Ask yourself, remember ozone???? Member? Styrofoam BAD, Aerosol Bad -- Yet here we are.... Styrofoam - everywhere, Aerosol - still around --- Ozone crisis??? WTF is this says every Millennial... What Ozone crisis?? WTF is O3 ???

What if the Ozone crisis was simply a push from companies who profit more off of push spray technology? What if the Styrofoam push was just from companies who make paper and plastic cups....

What if.......

What if global warming is just to benefit..... new HIGHLY PROFITABLE, green types of manufacturing...... Not what if.. This is the truth.

Inconvenient Truths.

1 climate always changes with or without man.
2 we are currently in a cool cycle with brief warm periods.
3 we are in a fluctuating brief warm period.
4 historically (writing: ~2600BC or for round numbers the last 5000 years) we have had many climate “changes”.
A) 5000 years ago was towards the end of the Mid-Holocene Warm Period with temperatures in the northern hemisphere warmer than today. This is th3 period of the wet or green Sahara.
B) 3000-2000 BC was a cooling trend.
C) 2000-1500 BC a short warming period.
D) 1500-750 BC a cold snap with sea levels 2-3 meters lower than today.
E) 750-150 BC return to warm. No warm period including today was as warm as 5000 BC,
F) 150 BC- 600 AD was a mild-slowly cooling period.
G) 600-900 AD was a colder period. The Black Sea froze in 821, and the Nike River froze in 829. This period is commonly called the Dark Ages.
H) 900-1100 slowly warming until The Little Climatic Optimum or the Medieval Warm Period 1100 - 1300 AD. It represents the warmest climate since the Climatic Optimum. Vikings settle Greenland.
I) 1300-1850 the Little Ice Age. New York Harbor freezes, Valley Forge, etc..
J 1850- TODAY the current warm period that still is not as hot as the Medieval Warm or Mid-Holocene Warm Periods.

Historically the Industrial Revolution started in the 1760s. The main rise in temperatures occurred in the beginning of the current cycle. We are currently in The Pause! Yet most of the CO2 dump has occurred towards the end. Hmmmmm.?

Why is man responsible for J but nature A to I? Or, of the 10 historical climate changes why is nature responsible for the first 9, but Man is now responsible for the last one?

Hubris: an extreme and unreasonable feeling of pride and confidence in yourself.

FINALLY

A look at the above sample of climates clearly show that life and humanity do better in the warm periods.

If WE truly are driving the warming period, I suggest we throw another barrel of oil on the fire!

Edit: Downvoted but not refuted!

You said it bro. The atmospheric CO2 levels have gone up from 350 ppm, to 500 ppm, JUST WITHIN MY LIFETIME!

I remember back in the 1970s and 1980s, in metro Houston (where I currently reside, and where I resided back then) it was not uncommon to experience entire summer seasons without even one 100+ degree day. Now it has become the new normal in this area to have 10+ such days each summer, lasting well into September! And...don't get me started on the ravages of Harvey last August.
