If this story is true I am now convinced the only thing he knows and cares about is interest rates.
How in the hell of all things do you come to this conclusion?

Good to see we’re solving problems we created.
the strait was not “open” before with iran watching over it with mines, attack boats and missiles
they just aloowed whomever they wanted to go through it
this no doubt means fully open and unrestricted since we destroyed their means to control it

Now that’s a pretty solid post I must say. Spot on. It’ll be like Greek to “the others,” unfortunately.

I can live with this as long as they agree to cease enrichment program.

What dis? There should have been no deal without this issue being settled.

Nothing.
Trump was an idiot and this sort of ending was inevitable.

There’s a big difference between starting a war and ending a war you already started. Once you have initiated a conflict, it’s usually a good idea to achieve at least some of your objectives before ending the conflict. To do otherwise is literally a defeat. Sometimes, a mild defeat is the only option available, but it’s never ideal.

This is the dumbest post I've seen in a day full of stupid posts. They say that if Trump doesn't feel that they're serious about negotiating the nuclear aspect, he will call off the ceasefire and resume bombing them. In the meantime, while that is being hammered out, they are reopening the strait and addressing the price of oil that you all are always bitching about. And also, you know, not killing more people.

Exactly. It’s a move to bifurcate the negotiation, go ahead and agree to what’s agreeable in the immediate term, then provide an unstressed avenue for further negotiations involving the most sensitive part. Very good idea.

Trump knows Americans are frustrated with gas prices. This will lower the prices, get them through midterms, and then if we can’t reach a deal on the uranium business will pick up again.

This deal is much different from what was being reported earlier. Regardless it’s all meaningless without a complete regime change

At first for Trump haters it was no new wars No boots on the ground This war is longer than 3 weeks Now This deal isn’t good enough We didn’t take kharg island We need to bomb them.

How about them not having the ability to build nuclear bombs and sell those same bombs all over the world to other terrorist regimes?
Thought that happened last year

It doesn't matter what the final terms are. The TDS crowd was still going to criticize it. They have no credibility because they find a problem with everything.

It seems to me we traded off killing a bunch of them for lifting sanctions on Iranian oil, which now provides them funding they didn’t have before. How is this a good deal vs the status quo of 3-4 months ago? They haven’t agreed to stop building nukes.

After having reviewed that - nope, no TDS. You have to take it a few levels deeper into total foolishness before personally I would deem one as such.

Kicking the can down the road.
It’s all good except for this.Iran is not going to give up their uranium, not ever.
I guess Trump wants to get past the mid term elections.
What is the alternative? Playing this stalemate forever? Iran will never give up trying to build nukes. To truly end it, we would have to do a major ground invasion and lose alot of life. Even then, it would probably end like Iraq and Afghanistan did. And it would ensure the democrats take over for the next 10 years. It was Bush that created Obama remember?
WE just have to accept that we may need to do a bombing run like we did like last June every so often to keep their nuke development at bay.
Cut the deal and come home.
