So someone who graduates from law school is not closer to being a lawyer than one of your precious illegal immigrants that snuck over the border to rape and steal? You fricking liberals are too stupid to argue with.

If anyone has a problem with her statements it would be more appropriate to make a complaint with the china bar exam people.

From what I understand, she obtained a JD from Pepperdine. Is that right?

If that is correct, why did she not bother to take the bar exam?

That mystifies me.

She is just one more in a long line of grifter types that cozy up to Trump for status/fame/money/you name it.

What is truly mistifying is how people are not recognizing these bad actors when they appear. She is a bad actor, does not act in good faith, is out to grift from companies and the general public.

It's clear as day.

I didn't say you did. I was just asking.

O.k., but by that metric there's a whole host of things she's closer to.

You don't understand what lawfare is. It's warfare by the use of the law, lawfare. Get it?

Trump's been in this game for over 10 years now.

And I can't say his judgement in choosing support staff is a strength of his.

And it doesn't get any better with time.

Sorry but you are dead wrong there.

I am 100% certain I am not.

The Louisiana language is typical for most/all jurisdictions. But saying "I am a lawyer" at a cocktail party when you are not a licensed attorney is not illegal anywhere because that speech is protected by the 1st Amendment.

When commercial/pecuniary interests are involved that turn on a person being a lawyer, then holding yourself out as a lawyer when you are not a lawyer can become a violation of the type of statute you produced.

Depends on what she was wanting to do for her career. It's known as getting the "JD Advantage Degree" in some professions such as Political Communications and PR work. Which coincidentally is exactly what she is doing. A law degree teaches analytical thinking, statutory interpretation, negotiation, and risk management—skills highly valued across industries where a law license isn't legally required. In the field she is actually working in being a fully licensed attorney is irrelevant, but the education is beneficial.

This sounds like the essay kids trying to get into law school attach with their application.

The California statute is not as strong as the Louisiana statute for a first offender.
quote:

California Business and Professions Code §6126. Unlawful practice or advertising as crime; Penalties

(a) Any person advertising or holding himself or herself out as practicing or entitled to practice law or otherwise practicing law who is not an active licensee of the State Bar, or otherwise authorized pursuant to statute or court rule to practice law in this state at the time of doing so, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in a county jail or by a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment. ...

She violated California law if the descriptions in the Bar Complaint are accurate. However, she only faces a misdemeanor and not the two years in the slammer that she could get in Louisiana.

Trump will pardon her anyway.

Only applies to the Bar Association - not the Complainant.

He doesn't select for competence, he selects for loyalty to Trump. And fellow grifters/narcissists/conmen know this, which is why they gravitate towards him. Why spend decades developing competence and cultivating a career when you can lick the a-hole of the most corrupt president in history instead and get to the heights of government that way?

No, that's not what it is.

It's the government illegitimately weaponizing the courts against a political enemy.

The Trump NYC trial was lawfare.

A random citizen filing a lawsuit to achieve a strategic outcome is not lawfare, even if he's "warring" with someone else.

And calling out someone legally for holding herself out to be a lawyer when she doesn't meet the criteria to do so is not illegitimately weaponizing anything.

Well she had said she is a lawyer in televised interviews. Not just cocktail parties.

But I agree with your premise, and I’m not sure why it would be an issue for the California Bar Association. She could take another state bar exam if she wanted to.

Unless that is where she was reportedly working as a “lawyer” researcher. Need more details provided…
