Zacharia is not a member of the California Bar.

From what I understand, she obtained a JD from Pepperdine. Is that right?

If that is correct, why did she not bother to take the bar exam?

That mystifies me.

Then the Trump Administration needs to investigate the California Bar Associated and find crimes they've committed. That's 180 degree law fare.

I can help. It’s supposed to mean,

“I don't want to say publicly that I haven't passed a state bar exam”…

To be clear though - you can claim to be a lawyer all day and it is not a crime as long as you are not seeking some sort of benefit from being one. Being a Press Sec does not require being a lawyer and really has not practice of law requirements, so she is safe there.

Sorry but you are dead wrong there.

Now I can't speak for the law in California, but in Louisiana, if you are not a lawyer duly admitted to practice by the Louisiana Supreme Court, La. R.S. 37:213, prohibits doing any of the following acts, which violate the law and expose the person to up to two years in prison:
quote:

(1) Practice law.
(2) Furnish attorneys or counsel or an attorney and counsel to render legal services.
(3) Hold himself or itself out to the public as being entitled to practice law.
(4) Render or furnish legal services or advice.
(5) Assume to be an attorney at law or counselor at law.
(6) Assume, use, or advertise the title of lawyer, attorney, counselor, advocate or equivalent terms in any language, or any phrase containing any of these titles in such manner as to convey the impression that he is a practitioner of law.
(7) In any manner advertise that he, either alone or together with any other person, has, owns, conducts, or maintains an office of any kind for the practice of law.

I highlighted the two that she appears to have violated.

I agree, but why not?

Then she's a lawyer, right?

If she didn't pass the bar in any state, she's not licensed or able to practice, but she's still a lawyer, right?

EDIT: I just looked it up and in almost every state you do have to have passed the bar to call yourself a lawyer.

So I revert back to my original position. This is not an example of "lawfare."

hope you don't lose sleep. Go read the pay walled Daily Mail article, you will be screaming in Hank delight with this trivial crap.

I hate AI and gossip. Why don't you ever attack the nonstop AI crap that gets posted from Trump?

Something that President Trump boasts about aways becomes "trivial" if it blows up in his face.
"Who cares about the stupid Reflecting Pool???"

I'm not Hank. This won't be trivial, unless the White House just hides Zacharia until she ultimately leaves to take care of her four kids.

From my recent Google search, it's not that rare. People who go to law school purely to pursue an academic career or research career or (in her case) a political career don't always take the bar. There's really no reason for them to.

Then make the decision to prosecute her and throw her in jail if that's what the CBA wants to do.

That happens on occasion..not interested in being a lawyer...Mike Leach comes to mind.

Those people don't hold themselves out to be "lawyers," though.

Depends on what she was wanting to do for her career. It's known as getting the "JD Advantage Degree" in some professions such as Political Communications and PR work. Which coincidentally is exactly what she is doing. A law degree teaches analytical thinking, statutory interpretation, negotiation, and risk management—skills highly valued across industries where a law license isn't legally required. In the field she is actually working in being a fully licensed attorney is irrelevant, but the education is beneficial.

I didn't say she was a lawyer. I said she is closer to being a lawyer than a mentally ill man who cuts off his dick and gets bolt ons is to being a woman.

If she didn’t practice law in California without a license then this goes nowhere.

But it appears Trump hired another dumb useless bimbo

Didn't you just create a thread the other day that was all about using SI to have it tell people what it thought of other posters on this board?

'I feel badly for her... her kids and family watching,' one source said. A senior Trump communications official called it 'terrible on so many different levels,' while another called it 'embarrassing.' A GOP communications expert sent only a single dumpster fire emoji.
So how did the daily mail get these texts within 24 hours, if they are correct? The same magic people taping Paxton and slowly leaking out even innocuous things?

No, she isn't. One either is a lawyer, which means that you hold a license to practice, or one is not. Whether one cuts off their dick is not relevant to the issue.

So no, she is no closer to being a lawyer than anyone else who is not a lawyer, regardless of whether she still has her dick.

Is the claim that she graduated from law school but didn't pass the bar?

If so, i don't know what she said that is actionable. She's a lawyer.

I think she claimed that she was general counsel for a non-profit.

So, if she filed any legal documents with any California court on their behalf, she is probably in violation of California law.

She should have been ready for the bar exam question. I predict she will never do another press conference. Better to bow out now than to bring the husband and kids to DC. And then fail.
