WTF? Just how? I have a 4 YO daughter and a 12 YO daughter and raised a stepdaughter from 3. I don't understand how anyone can do that to their own child. 4 YO is such a precious innocent age. I don't see how anyone could do that.

It's not as simple as that always. For example, my wife didn't lose custody, but she lost primary when she got divorced from her ex husband. She was an immigrant with no support and he didn't let her work when they were married. Kicked her out of the house and cut her off of all money.

He went to court with the sleaziest most unethical lawyer in town (defends pedo dads) and my wife had no money to hire a lawyer and barely spoke english. His lawyer threatened to have her deported after court that day if she didn't agree to give him primary custody and everything but a pile of shite car. She was a green card holder, so it was a bluff, but she didn't realize it and agreed so she wouldn't be completely separated from the kids. It was a huge uphill battle for us to get back to 50/50 custody.

After the divorce, he advanced from pill addict to meth addict and recklessly killed her son and maimed her daughter for life and the courts didn't give a frick, because he escaped criminal charges when a grand jury failed to indict him for negligent homicide due to lack of evidence. Evidence we later uncovered after the STOL ran out. Only then were we able to get 50/50 and he still got primary residence because he's physically stronger than my wife and was able to pick her up out of her wheelchair. The whole thing was all about the two lawyers making a deal and getting the judge to sign off, had nothing to do with the court actually deciding which parent is better. He managed to get clean after the "accident", so they wouldn't hold the drug addiction against him.

He's a reclusive narcissistic sociopath that has never accepted responsibility and cut off my mentally disabled stepdaughter from contacting her mother the moment she turned 18. Now that she's a legal adult the courts will do even less of nothing.

The entire system is incredibly fricked up and the best interest of the child has little bearing on what actually happens.

Killing children is the favorite pastime of modern American women.

Men still kill more of their children than women. 57% overall for men vs 43% for women. Women account for a much higher percent of younger children especially newborns

Imagine how bad a woman has to be to not get custody

If my parents had divorced I would have demanded to stay with dad. Mom would not have protested that. When I was 30 she admitted to me that she wanted to abort me (poverty issues) but dad stopped her: 'We'll get by.'

Cibelle Savella (also known as Cibelle Kubala), 35, lost primary custody of her 4-year-old daughter Vivian in a Harris County family court hearing on the morning of the murder-suicide (around September 29–30, 2026). The court imposed strict supervised visitation and other restrictions; the specific underlying reasons or evidence leading to this ruling have not been publicly detailed in available reports.

nypost.com

Key details from court documents and reporting:Judge Audrie Lawton-Evans awarded primary custody (and exclusive decision-making authority over education, medical care, and mental-health treatment) to the father, Aaron Savella (a private equity lawyer). Cibelle was ordered to turn the child over to him that evening.

internewscast.com

Her contact was limited to continuously supervised visitation through Guardians of Hope (a Houston service for high-conflict custody cases, domestic violence, or substance-abuse concerns).

Additional restrictions included: a ban on speaking Portuguese to Vivian unless the supervisor was fluent in it; a ban on attending school activities (lunches, performances, field trips, etc.); an order to pay child support and cover 50% of out-of-pocket medical expenses; and limits on consenting to emergency medical care.

nypost.com

The parents (married ~2020, divorced finalized ~2024 after Cibelle filed in 2022) had a prolonged, bitter post-divorce dispute involving mutual protective-order filings. News outlets (including the New York Post citing court filings) explicitly state it was “not immediately clear why” she lost custody and faced such stringent limits. Supervised visitation is typically ordered in high-conflict situations, but no public details confirm specific allegations (e.g., abuse, neglect, or other factors) that drove the judge’s decision.

nypost.com

Hours after the hearing, Cibelle shot and killed Vivian at the Houston townhouse she shared with her current husband (Chick-fil-A franchisee Greg Kubala) and then shot herself; she died the next day. The father’s side has stated he followed court processes to protect the child.

Men are naturally more violent. I don’t know if their numbers for child killings has risen or remained steady but it feels like steady, which would mean men haven’t changed.

But it seems that women who are naturally less violent are getting more violent. It looks like they are changing and the question is, why?

And of those three examples you posted of men killing their children, I challenge you to find anyone here willing to make excuses for them. Unlike the CuCluxClancy types.

I'm not developing a measurement tool to determine which instances of parents murdering their kids are worse than others. What is wrong with you?
