Story that ended differently than Rob Reiner Story

I am sharing a story to show how bad things can get with drug addiction, similar story to Reiner but with different outcome.

Someone I once knew was addicted to drugs and had problems on/off through high school into adulthood. He was relatively estranged from his family by the end of it.

He showed up to his parents’ home one night with a machete, drugged out of his mind. His father had to get his handgun and ended up having to shoot him when he was attacked. The son died.

The father had never even shot the handgun prior, just took it with him when he traveled for work. The parents were good people and had other kids that turned out very well.

Such a bad situation and it isn’t always something the parents can control. I’m no Reiner fan and viewed almost everything differently than he did, but I don’t necessarily blame him for his son’s affliction and what fate befell he and his wife.

Here is a break down of Frisco ISD (independent school district) demographics. Indians and middle easterners are the majority there. 44% Asian is 90% middle eastern and Indian demographics. It is real.

A lot of yall have no idea. It is like new New Delhi in Frisco. There are literally whole neighborhoods, we’re talking thousands of households, completely occupied by Indians. I used to drive through there for my commute and every day I was avoiding getting hit by a Hindu in a tesla. This is not hyperbole, it is reality.

It was happening before and will happen after Trump. Take a drive through some suburban and metropolitan areas in the USA and you see MOSTLY folks who are here, and have been here for a while, on H1Bs. It is mind boggling how they are literally building entire communities made up of H1B enclaves.

I am at the cusp of doing this right now, slated to open my business next month. My business involved real estate acquisition, new facility construction, furniture, fixture and equipment purchases.

I have about $250k saved for personal and business expenses and project/hope that will last for 6 months for each. This is lighter than I would like, but due to unexpected upfront costs I had to use some funds earlier than expected.

As soon as I am in the black, I will focus on reinvestment to grow further (mainly hiring associates to work for me) and debt repayment/management.

Follow up with me in 3-6 months and I will let you know if I am bankrupt or not…

I think he said they already max out their Roth IRA. So even if options are limited, the tax benefit of a trad or Roth 401k may still be worth a look even if no match is available.
