Yes, yes they are, toots. And that's what pisses y'all off. You can't stop it.

The article has a lot of whiny leftist tropes, but I laughed when they described Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro... Ben Shapiro... as Alt Right.

Basically, teachers are afraid that their Marxist boot camps are failing. Worse, if it's not the Internet, it's those awful parents that are foiling their revolutionary efforts.

The Link

THE KIDS ARE ALT-RIGHT: WHEN YOUR STAR PUPIL GETS RED-PILLED

quote:

Often, it’s hard for teachers to tell whether a student is being truly red-pilled in the sense that they’re being radicalized online, or whether they’re parroting views that they’ve grown up with in their conservative households. Tessa, a 29-year-old in the Midwest who teaches 14- to 18-year-olds at a private school for students with learning impairments, says that while many of her students “simply take on the talking points and politics of their conservative parents,” this can make them especially ripe targets for full-blown radicalization and infatuation with far-right figures. “A few started listening to Joe Rogan’s podcast, which led to them reading Jordan Peterson’s books,” she says. “I think that Joe Rogan’s ideology is the biggest threat to critical thinking in the last decade.”

There are some obvious warning signs that a student is being red-pilled, though, like when they have a sudden and noticeable rightward shift in their views; when they specifically mention figures like Ben Shapiro and Peterson, who Olivia says her student “loved”; and when they use language that makes the online influence obvious, like “Chad” and “cuck.”

quote:

It can also be devastating for teachers to realize that, despite their best efforts, some of their students might end up holding hateful beliefs long term, and many of them take it personally. “My biggest worry is that they’ll be stuck in their thinking forever, and that they’ll join the Proud Boys or something,” Tessa says. “I feel like I should be able to do a better job at teaching critical-thinking skills and they should have enough trust in me to believe that I’m telling them the truth.”

“Honestly,” she adds, “it makes me feel like I’ve failed at my job.”

I’ve lost a lot of respect for teachers and I don’t feel bad for how shitty their pay is

They admitted themselves how non essential their job is

For a teacher she doesn't know what the word critical thinking means.

They mention how important critical thinking is multiple times in an article where they completely dismiss everything half the country believes as alt right.

Lol. Olivia might want to reflect on her own critical thinking skills.

I've never in my life met a public school teacher who i respected or felt was intelligent enough to to educate children of any age.

You can tell someone who's never listened to Rogan...to suggest that guy is anywhere NEAR the right is hilarious!

You know American political discourse has gone to shite when JOE ROGAN is being accused of pushing far right wing propaganda.

His podcast is hours of him talking with any and everyone about sex, drinking stories, pot, etc. Unless we’re defining the far right as anyone who just says whatever pops into their head and likes shooting the shite with a random assortment of people, he’s nothing of the sort.

What alt right person would vote for Bernie Sanders?

Rogan has had plenty of left leaning if not straight up leftists on his show.

Shows how far on the left these people are if those 3 are considered far right

Rogans podcast is MILD in terms of narrow lines of thought.

Guy is wide open on a lot of shite.

He's constantly talking about he's on the left. And he's constantly proving that by continuously espousing left wing talking points. Essentially the only thing that's right wing about him is he's pretty strongly pro 2nd. Everything else is straight down the line lefty.

When people say Joe Rogan is "alt-right" what they are really saying is that people who are not SJWs are far right.

It's more damning of what the left has become than anything.

Sadly, a lot of private school teachers and staff are joining that number too. We sent our kid to one of the of the better private schools and were alarmed at the shift to the left that was happening.

If there is a silver lining to having online classes, it is that the kids are around their parents more than around the teachers who are dogmatically trying to blue pill them.

My son had to learn to write with a leftist view to improve his grades for one english teacher. Amazingly his grade from a low B to an A once he learned how to lie about his political views.
