Seriously, move it back. This is bigger than just politics. Ida fortunately wasn’t as disastrous as dreaded even though it definitely has uprooted people.

No way those dogs roaming around were rescues. Those were clearly well cared for working dogs.

At risk of being accused of being a PT poster, I said this yesterday or the day before. The woman that ran that rescue is from Tennessee, I think. She and people trying to help her tried for days and days to get herself and the animals evaced. I guess she got out, but the animals had to stay.
The Brit guy who also ran a rescue was able to get himself and the animals out, but I think most of his staff had to stay, unless they got later flights. They refused to get on the plane if it meant the animals had to stay. Say what you want about that decision, but you can't say they don't practice what they preach.
