The two Congressmen stole the show on most of the mainstream news.
There are still reports of Afghans being kept away from the airport. There have been some articles stating that the US troop drawdown has already started. Along with those we've seen the run of the mill "Evac efforts are ramping up", which I find both of those being reality hard to believe. Presumably, we'd have less people showing up at the airport, therefore less planes will be filled. And, if both UK and US troops are starting to pull out, how can we also continue to see our efforts "ramp up"?

Australia has also been in the news for turning away Afghans with Australian Visas because "they don't have paper copies". They haven't required paper copies in years. They have even turned away a journalist that has worked with them for years.
I suspect that has more to do with the "agreement" between the US and the Taliban.
