If people smoking weed shouldn't have access to guns, then people who drink alcohol shouldn't by about a factor of 100 times more.

That said, I can't find a single place in the 2nd amendment that says unless someone smokes weed, nor can I find a single amendment in the constitution that outlaws weed.

100% unconstitutional.

The bigger issue is that if you get a medical card after you have purchased the gun then that makes you unable to own the gun. It's the big part that makes the federal law and certain state laws clash because you already own a gun in a state that allows medical use so you are within the states jurisdiction. The state says it's fine. However, you are running afoul of the federal law because the feds say you can't.

Actually, the federal law prevents you from buying a gun from a FFL licensed dealer. I'm not aware of any federal law that prevents owning one due to drug use.

On the background check form, there is a question that ask if you are an unlawful user of recreational drugs.

If you smoke dope and answer no, you are committing a felony.

I can't find any part of the 2nd amendment that says except for these things.

Nor can I find any part of the constitution that outlaws weed.

It’s against federal law. I mean that’s literally what this thread is about. The Supreme Court is going to review it because as of now you cannot legally own them according to the Feds.

There is no federal registry that gives permission to [i]own a gun. There is no background check to own a gun.

Awesome and the answer is clearly NO!

America si finally waking up to the scourge on society that is marijuana.

It stinks, it ruins people and society and finally we are standing up. We need to make it as uncomfortable and embarrassing as possible to be even questioned as smoking weed.

Correct there is no registry and you do not have to pass a background check unless it’s from an FFL or NFA item. It’s still illegal according to the Feds. Unless you think that the Supreme Court just randomly takes cases that no one is contesting.

The Supreme Court on Monday said it will consider a case that could allow people who regularly smoke marijuana to legally own guns.

And why is a federal court striking down a law that you say isn’t even a law?

quote:

The Trump administration has asked the high court to look at a case involving a Texas man who was charged with a felony because he allegedly had a gun in his home and acknowledged being a regular marijuana user.

The Justice Department appealed after a lower court struck down a law that bars people who use any illegal drugs from having guns.

Good, marijuana is gay as shite

Despite your personal feelings, your statement seems to go against the second amendment. If they can do this with weed, they can do prescription drugs and more.

You smoke pot every day, is that correct? Don't lie and say you don't.

Marijuana is still a classified as a schedule I drug on the federal level.

You will be denied a security clearance if you test positive for THC and you will be fired,

Daily pot smoking makes an average intelligent person less than average.

You may not realize it, but you are less than average, it is obvious in your post.

He’s a New Yorker. He’s half retarded on gun rights and the justice department is incompetent, like most of the government.

Good man, well meaning, made lots of commies and liberals cry, voted for him, but he’s an absolute retard on the constitution.

What about regular drinkers who have firearms? Better cut them off, too. You know, the drunks with guns concern me a hell of a lot more than the pot smokers

This.

Drinkers with guns are far more dangerous. This is a fact not opinion.

Sure, you just can't carry or use it. Like driving.

Again, why would you handle a weapon while impaired.

SCOTUS will or, should tell trump to eat a bag of dicks on this.
