She’s saying the base operates well and rest of world is problematic. I don’t think this is necessarily a “break” as he it seems he’s talking global politics and she’s concerned about local operations?

You have obviously never served in the military snowflake. How about you quit crying like a little bitch and let those that have or do explain. So shut the frick up sit down and listen for once in your life.

Maybe.
But the moment she penned that
quote:she sealed her own fate. The concerns of Admin47 better daggum well be reflective of any and all of our bases and personnel.
the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base,
Perhaps she worded it wrong and didn’t mean it the way the vast majority took it. Doesn’t matter though as she never should have commented anyway.

If true, it is strange she still has a job right now.

She was swiftly relieved of her command.. we'll have to wait to see further repercussions.

It does not matter (chain of command is what matters), but here is a summary of what JD Said while at the base in greenland.
Personally I do not see anything controversial here.
Personally I do not see anything controversial here.
quote:
During his visit to Pituffik Space Base in Greenland on March 28, 2025, Vice President JD Vance made several notable comments:
He criticized Denmark, stating they have "underinvested" in Greenland’s security and infrastructure, claiming they’ve failed to keep the island safe from potential threats by nations like Russia and China.
Vance suggested Greenland would be better protected and economically stronger under U.S. influence, emphasizing that the U.S. could offer superior security and partnership.
He stressed respect for Greenland’s self-determination, asserting that military force isn’t necessary and that Greenlanders would likely choose to align with the U.S. voluntarily.
He highlighted the strategic importance of Greenland for Arctic security, citing its role in countering Russian and Chinese interests in Arctic routes and resources.
Vance described the visit as historic, noting he was the first U.S. vice president to visit Greenland, and expressed appreciation for the troops, while humorously remarking on the cold weather.
His remarks stirred controversy, with Greenlandic and Danish leaders calling them disrespectful, and they fueled debates about U.S. intentions toward Greenland’s sovereignty.

Thanks for the text... that's the first I've read it.
I like it... it's going to either force Denmark to pony up or offer liberation for Greenland. Whatever comes of it, Greenland should be better off.

That has nothing to do with what the VP said, a-hole.
It also has nothing to do with the idiot I replied to not knowing that the base in in a foreign country.

If you're not going to call out Vance, why don't you sit down and shut the frick up. She at least has bigger balls than you.
You people are so wrapped up in what the commander said, when it was Vance who said the wildly inappropriate shite. If you can't see that, I can't help you.
To put it more clearly, it is wildly inappropriate for the #2 in charge to go to a foreign country and foment revolution - especially when it's a valued ally.

whats this "guest in their country" nonsense.
Is the base in the United States of America? No, it is not.

Not a Colonel's place to say a fg word about that either.
She's toast. The military world isn't this soft wet utopia that you grew up in.
