Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark, whats this "guest in their country" nonsense.

Unfortunately, so is abdication of leadership... all the way back to Genesis.

Huh? I’m specifically talking about DEI in the military. If the commander came out against the Biden administration’s DEI policy, coming out against the CIC, would you still advocate for their removal?
I wouldn't like it. but the Administration would be justified in removing any officer that did not follow lawful orders of his or her Commander in Chief or came out in pubic like that speaking out officially about policy.
They of course have a night to their own personal opinion to vote as they please etc, but their job is to carry out their orders and support the policies of their Commander in Chief.

Maybe ole Susan saw this ans her opportunity to get out of Greenland. More likely than not, she’s just another Trump hating leftist, communist.

MacArthur was an egomaniac who wasted many American lives needlessly.
Had the strategy of Nimitz been followed exclusively it would have been quicker and less bloody.
MacArthur was Gavin Newsom in a uniform. Master manipulator of the press with no regard for the people under his command.

From what little time I've put into reading up on him, it seems he started well and ended poorly, very poorly. Ego and delusion being his downfall. I do need to learn more though...I used to spend a good amount of time learning about Patton, time to learn something new!

Would you say the same if a commander came out against DEI under the Biden administration?
Yes I would. You don't get rhe right in the armed services to make official political statements that are different from the President. But, I would hire that person back in this Administration.

This isn’t confusing.

It’s confusing why you are talking about that, specifically, because that isn’t what happened here. She specifically announced she was not in alignment with the admin, after a meeting with the admin.
This is a pretty classic strawman. Regardless of the issue at hand, or who is disagreeing with who - disagreeing with a general policy issue is not the same as explicitly disagreeing with a conversation about policy with those that set it.
Surely you understand the distinction. This would be like the difference between a child disobeying the rules of their parents, and the child telling the parents no after a direction is given. The latter doesn’t leave as much room for discretion from the parents.

ABSOLUTELY!
Years ago, under Clinton, some commander in Europe politely shite on Clinton in a speech and was almost immediately removed.
I agreed with every word the commander said. AND, he also had to be removed.
The rules around such thing exist for a very good reason and those reasons greatly outweigh my agreement with the commander.
