That was a quick and well deserved firing.

Just one "you're fired" from OMB would be glorious.

would think…hell yeah, that guy has balls. And then fully expect them to be fired. Hell, even in the private sector what do you think would happen if you email your team that you don’t agree with either CEO’s vision?

I completely agree on both counts. I was just playing devil’s advocate.

Should be removed regardless of who is in office, the CiC needs to be able to trust the military will follow the chain of command

Also not an apples to apples comparison. DEI is domestic policy and has no bearing on foreign policy.

She disregarded the commander in chief and took the liberty of undermining our foreign policy while being stationed overseas. What she did is closer to mutiny than anything else

Your comparison is spot on! Although I doubt in current times that our Senate could so artfully and fairly handle the fallout as they managed to do then.

To be fair, it isn't quite an apples-to-apples situation, although the circumstances were superficially similar.

Next to Washington, MacArthur was the most significant U.S. Military officer in history. His name still carries that degree of awe. He was also an expert at using the press of his time. The confrontation with Truman is a low point in relations between a theater level commander and the president at any point since the nation's founding.

This is a dumb gal colonel getting way too far over her skis.

You're right.. MacAurthur was a beloved, respected hero... this chick's name will disappear like a fart in the wind.

Problem is, all these saboteurs think they are heros.

Would you say the same if a commander came out against DEI under the Biden administration?

Well they did not because conservatives have more respect for the chain of command obviously.

What would you say if I told you monkeys flew out of my butt last week? since we are making hypotheticals about things that never happened

Vance could have called them colonizing, cockgobbling twat waffles and it STILL...

...would be wildly inappropriate, but you wouldn't call him on it, you celebrate it.

Let me tell you exactly where that leaves them, 'Wildly Inappropriate' is the official fricking policy and she can stand with it, or resign... she cannot buck it. Period.

You're not too smart. She wasn't bucking wildly inappropriate, that's what you called her.

She's not a guest. She was the commander of a joint base...

You can't seriously be this stupid.

Sounds insurrectiony to me... Might need to spend a few years in solitary praying for a pardon.

No need to make a martyr... Sacking, mocking and forgetting her are enough for me, along with reducing or eliminating any benefits she had.

They need to make a wall of these 'Forgotten Zeros' to mock their 'contributions' to the 'cause'.

Vance was Trump's mouthpiece... if Trump has an issue with how Vance represented the USA, then it will be up to Trump to address... not this chick who outright stated that
quote:

the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base

She said not just Vance, but the "US administration"... and that said administration's concerns were NOT reflective of Pluff Space Base.

Why is this hard to understand?

Women shouldn't be given command. They are too emotional.

I agree, in part.

I think it is more that men, typically, are better at looking at things on a macro level and longer term, whereas women are et up with details and nuance and immediacy. Which IS a feelings/emotional issue... but not entirely.

Huh? I’m specifically talking about DEI in the military. If the commander came out against the Biden administration’s DEI policy, coming out against the CIC, would you still advocate for their removal?

This isn’t confusing.

Those who went against biden were illegally harassed via lawfare, had their homes illegally searched, had those around them jailed for no reason, and had two assassination attempts against them.

I agree with you, a simple termination is more humane
