Just because he is a better hire than F. King Alexander does not make him a good hire.

Not one question answered. WHAT racism is socially acceptable? Disney's policy? NASA's? The definition of CRT, for the most part, comes from the left. You seem to have issues with our interpretation, so explain it for us.

Sorry, but anyone that believes in Critical Race theory should be nowhere near LSU leadership. It needs to be stamped out, not accepted in any way.

It is bogus and divisive, and needs to be challenged. You don't fight racism with racism.

Absolutely. CRT explicitly teaches that all white people are racist. The Oppressor vs The Oppressed. 100% victimhood for perpetuity. It is the biggest danger this nation has ever faced.

What absolutely amazes me is that LSU may be getting a mulligan on this one!!!!

Does anyone here have any insight on what is likely to happen?

Would Tate stay at South Carolina if offered the top job?

“I don’t care if you already know what critical race theory is. Tate just means those 3 words in a vacuum, not the actual ideologies they represent. You have to be open minded and read what he wrote to truly understand him. I’m an ignorant racist but just too ashamed to admit it. So instead of defending my belief system, I have to try to convince people to read the hateful propaganda I subscribe to in hopes they will be converted.”

Again, your only defense of Tate is asking if anyone has read Tate's essays. You tell us what his definition of CRT is / means. Quit dodging, answer a direct question.

There are some progs on this board who think CRT is simply too much. Even for them. But not Sammy! His prog faith demands strict adherence and that’s what he’ll do.

Imagine being a white male progressive
There’s not a more pathetic person on the planet.

I think you misunderstand him (BlackAdam). He's on the right side of the issue - slavery was socially "normative" for its time (and morally bankrupt), ditto for Jim Crow and, now, CRT. He's not endorsing it as morally okay, but that it is currently "acceptable" (not to us, of course, but to this broader, bullshite, #Woke society that has been created largely by bots on Twitter, not even real human beings). He's right.

One can be racist against white folks, particularly white Christian, heterosexual males all day long and no one will bat an eye. No #Cancel, no #Fire, no #Delete - you're all good. Try that towards any other group at your peril.

I've read many of them. Lots of people have. There have been discussions, excerpts posted, etc.

Has everyone read them? No.

But you keep responding to every random person asking if they've read The Complete Works of William Tate.

It's not a mystery what he believes. He's never denied believing in CRT. You're the only one saying he doesn't.

Others have.

You consistently dodge any meaningful discussion and latched in to a quote someone else posted.

I don't Believe for one fricking second you read “many” of them or even “any” of them.

I’m not saying he doesn’t.

I’m saying your definition do CRT isn’t what people who study it define it as.

I never said he was a good hire. I only stated he was better than F King Alexander.

I clearly stated I am no fan of CRT. The way you challenge it is to challenge the philosophy and challenge it with pointing out where it is wrong. You do that by doing sound research to contradict it.

If he does come to LSU (maybe SC tries to keep him) he should be judged on his performance as President, not on his research publications. If he does a bad job and donations and fund raising is hurt and student enrollments drop, then he will not last long. And the there is already a significant decline in the number of college bound HS kids predicted for the next decade means fewer students to go around for all Universities.

You act like these papers are War and Peace. Once you skip over all the fluff and citations, they are relatively short and easy to read.

They do ramble and it's difficult to pull an easy quote that says "here is the gist of what I'm saying."

Sammy, where did you go?

Just a simple request for which you refuse to answer...

What is the meaning of CRT to those that are pushing it?
