Civilization is only made possible by the threat of violence from men.

Weapons help make that threat credible.

Privacy!

Ronnie cracked that wall with the 10K cash reporting law (supposed to go after drug dealers) but just snooped on US citizens instead

Bush smashed the wall with the "Patriot Act" as supposed to go after terrorist but instead snoops on every US citizen

All amendments to the constitution are equally important. that's why thy were written and ratified.

When you start trying to rank them in order of importance you open the doo for some jack hole to inevitably begin a quest to eliminate "less important" constitutional amendments.

"Civil Right", as you imagine it, is SUBJECTIVE. One's person's 'terrorist' is another's truth/SJW and martyr. One person's 'freedom of speech' is Insurrection to another. And one person's right to employ violence (2nd Amendment) to secure said SUBJECTIVE Rights...is Sedition/Insurrection.

Rights aren't really rights when they can be taken from you. At best, they are privileges when the majority of the country is too physically and mentally soft to protect and fight for them. I'm glad I live in a part of the country where I'm surrounded by Baws who will do what it takes to protect their freedoms, but sadly we are the hold-outs. The rest of this country is ripe for the plucking.

And I think that's already started, don't y'all?

They are all equally important. Because if you infringe on one it starts a slippery slope of being able to infringe on the others

The right to be left alone. All the other rights flow from this core right.
