It is wild that the "oil and gas price crisis" hoax has been pulled on everyone.
fricking oil prices are in the 90s. So it is not the Iran war that is driving it.
If the news outlets are not reporting the shortage in refineries caused by democrat polices of the last 30 years, then they are propaganda - not news.

Some of them have gone completely tribal.
They cant defend the realities so they rationalize making things up things like MSNOW rather than address the objective realities of the current situation that are negative to their guy.
Its a coping mechanism like you see from leftists when they get mugged because of the bad policies they voted for.
"Its systemic racism!" No its not, they just put horrible policies in place and now bad things are happening.

At what point did we become this fanatical about politics? When did political affiliation become such a huge part of people’s identity that politics basically turned into sports fandom? Everything is “my team” vs. “your team.” Every bad outcome has to be explained away when your side caused it, every criticism is treated like an attack, and admitting your guy screwed something up somehow feels like admitting you were wrong.
There’s almost no room for nuance anymore. You can support someone and still admit they screwed something up. You can oppose someone and still acknowledge when they got something right. Neither requires you to abandon your principles.
I used to believe conservatives were generally better about this and more willing to call out their own side when they thought it was wrong. The Trump era has certainly changed my perception of that. There’s a segment of his most devoted supporters who seemingly cannot tolerate any criticism of him whatsoever. Every criticism has to be defended, rationalized, or immediately answered with “but Biden” or “but Democrats.”
What makes it even more frustrating is the complete lack of self-awareness about their own blind idolization of the guy. They’ll accuse everyone else of being brainwashed while treating virtually any criticism of Trump as a personal attack. You can agree with 90% of what he does and criticize the other 10%, and suddenly you’re the enemy.
Gee, I wonder where they get that inability to handle criticism from.
That’s the part I’ll never understand, wrapping your identity so tightly around a politician or political party that you lose the ability to look at individual issues with any nuance. You shouldn’t have to defend everything someone does just because you voted for them. Again…it’s pathetic.

The people who you claim need an explanation (“average Joe”) don’t actually need it, as you suggest. The people who are actually demanding an explanation don’t truly want the explanation, they just want to cry foul about it……and they don’t really care about the explanation itself. Thusly, why play that game and waste his and everyone else’s (silent majority of “average Joes,” aka normal people) time playing in to said game?
